When watching comprehensible input videos, what gets in the way most?

If you're watching videos to learn languages, what are some things that get in the way to make that experience better.

We're working on making the experience of watching comprehensible input easier, better and faster, and I'm interested in your ideas for what commonly gets in the way or where you get stuck?

YouTube searches and channels for easy and slow Spanish

I came across this list of YouTube searches and channels to help people find easy and slow videos in different dialects of Spanish. Since I'm learning Mexican Spanish, I thought I'd share them. I already know how to search for "easy videos in Mexican Spanish," but the ones I found are culture-specific, like the tianguis one (open-air market) - I've been to one but never thought of using that to find videos where they point to stuff and explain what it is.

This way of looking for content got me thinking - what if I search for very specific stuff from Mexico, like "que compre en Chedraui" (national Walmart-like store), and I got a ton of shorts with people shopping or just fooling around, all very understandable since they use groceries/products as props one way or another.

  • Como dice el dicho - a TV show where they take one Spanish/Mexican proverb and make a whole episode out of it
  • Unicable - catty talk shows lol
