Just had an owner let me go bc the practice can’t handle two doctors working (ie. the owner and me). She couldn’t afford to pay me bc overheard was too high. That’s what she says.
I only work one day a week and have been doing so for 10 months. The audacity is that she kept me believing we were getting close to adding more days at the office. I wish they would have put a little more thought into it before hiring me. Now I have to start all over again.
And to top it all off - when she had the discussion of “letting me go” - she asked if she could keep me as some sort of “on call doctor” or if she could bring me back if the office gets busy. I felt like that was such an inappropriate request.
Oh and btw - I’m 5 months pregnant. :)

When I first joined an office, I got it in writing that as long as I exceeded my production goals, I would be bumped up to 35% AP after 6 months.
I brought it up to the owner 9 months after working there.
She basically told me that she had to review my numbers first to evaluate but wouldn’t give me an exact timeline when I asked bc it wasn’t “priority” to her.
A couple weeks later, she said she looked at my numbers and that while I did very well that she still can’t offer it to me because other staff members got raises and the office just can’t handle it.
I asked if we could re-evaluate at a later time and she basically said no.
I guess my questions are:
Tbh I’m at a loss for words.
For background, the office is producing the most it ever produced since I joined the office.
