Books where a group of friends play a long game of make believe

It’s kinda hard to describe what I really am looking for but just imagine a group of really close friends. Maybe set in a rural town. Imaginations are running wild and their adventures are just endless. It could perhaps be magical realism or maybe a low fantasy. Maybe a bit of romance? I’m a romance reader at my core so yeah:)

I am seeking recommendations here from my on and off obsession with the raven cycle - not claiming that the premise of the raven cycle is just a bunch of kids playing make believe. It’s not at all like that. But I am really craving those lovable friendships and deep connection with each other and to places, to things, to magic.

What are your favorite theories as to why you believe that Zutara will be canon in NATLA?

I’m not asking this to push it down into everyone’s throats that they will be canon. That there can be no other option for them.

I’m simply asking this because I JUST ENJOY READING THEM SO MUCH. I’m here for the fun<3

IT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE TO BE YOUR OWN THEORY, you can share a link or whatever (just give them credit).

Don’t think about “but they’ll never be canon” just have fun with this. I love reading how passionate people can be with their theories. It doesn’t even have to be a theory, it can be just fragments of information or whatever, JUST ANYTHING!

Take this from someone who doesn’t really care about who will be end game but someone who still loves zutara.

Also please don’t be a kill joy in this, if you’re so opposed to the notion of zutara being canon in NATLA then just scroll away:)

Does the NATLA cast have a mixed bag of reactions to zutara?

Before y’all start screaming at me “it’s their job, they’re probably told what to do and say” or “they’re probably told what to do so they won’t get attacked by antis” or any of that sort. YES I KNOW IT IS THEIR JOB but it can’t hurt to ask.

I’m just seeing a pattern of people posting that the cast is like “but they’ve always hated each other” then later someone posts “aaaw kia and dallas look so sweet in that interview” and the cast generally vibing with zutara.

So to those who have watched every interview…is it a mixed bag of reactions when it comes to zutara?

Also can you like tell me which interviews to watch, I feel like they have a lot.

Fanfic with this premise

So there’s this zutara art by te-al-latte on tumblr (she’s _teallatte on instagram)

And I think there’s like a fanfic with this premise but no one can remember. I can’t help myself so I’m just asking here anyway if anybody has fic recs with this premise.

I didn’t want to download the picture out of respect to the artist since she doesn’t want anyone reposting them so above is the link instead.

Has anyone here tried using a Joyko journal?

I’ve also been trying to find a nice baby pink ruled journal. Unfortunately, I’m just not satisfied with our local selection at the moment. I stumbled upon this journal and it looks pretty good and they have a pink option.

I’d appreciate hearing anyone’s experience using this journal.

I’d also appreciate if you have any baby pink journal recs 😭 somehow ang hirap talaga makahanap ng magandang baby pink ruled journal.

Mystery Romance books that are not murder mystery or crime thriller

I’m sorry but the usual solving crimes, disappearances, whodunnit, etc. with a romantic subplot is just not my cup of tea but I do not think they’re not good, they’re just not for me.

Maybe something more whimsical or coming of age? Basically I would love to read about people solving a mystery and a romantic subplot that doesn’t involve a killer or any murder and the likes of it.

Where to find Victorias Journal online?

I recently saw this on Art Bar 🍊 on their product reviews (it’s sold out).

I’m currently looking at options for a ruled journal and I really want a Victorias journal, there are a few of them on NBS rn but they’re not particularly the kind I’m looking for.

It doesn’t have to look like the one in the photo above but I honestly would appreciate if any of you know places online na PH based sana that sell Victorias journal 🙏

I honestly wish Art Bar would have them replenished 😭

Fanfic recs where zuko grovels

I’m feeling to read fanfic where zuko grovels just to get katara’s trust. I want this pathetic man to be down bad. Maybe katara interacting with more characters while just completely leaving this man to fend for himself.

I get this groveling can’t be the only thing the fic is about but it’s still great to read some. I’ve been reading way too much post show fics where they’re all friends galore so I’m honestly craving for angst.

Zutara video essays or articles recommendations please!

I have a lot of time and I’m actually planning to start common place journaling on zutara. Do you have any favorite/note worthy videos essays or even articles? Basically any material.

Fanfic where zuko forms his own rebel group

Anyway, I wanted to ask if there are any fics where zuko forms his own rebel group and enlists the rest of the gaang.

We’re already very acquainted with zuko joining team avatar but what about team avatar joining zuko? I personally think it would be really fun to read something like that, it would be really interesting to see how sparks would fly between zuko and katara.

Also I am currently reading Salt and Scale - I know this fanfic isn’t really aligned with what I’m asking for but I thought I’d just let y’all know since he kinda does have his own little group in this fanfic.

I immediately had this craving of like someone slipping through the veil between a magical realm and the human world. Meeting someone, falling in love, learning about themselves in that world. Nothing high fantasy, think about going out to your backyard into the forest and just disappearing for a bit then coming back but that place always lingers in your mind.

I have to be honest, I was just really inspired by Holly Black’s The Darkest part of the forest. And fine I admit I suck finding pictures but Pinterest isn’t really working with me.

I love a good atmospheric book that discusses themes in a character’s life. As you can see I love the story within a story thing. I also am a romance reader at my core but not the rom com type, and I do not mind at all if it’s a subplot (sometimes it’s better that way). I’m more of an emotional story lover with some romance in it.

Okay it’s kinda hard to explain what I mean since you could say that fanfic in general is out of the box.

But still I would love if you guys have fanfic recs with a more different premise. I think we can think about a lot of premises that we have seen a lot of like the war not happening at all, rewriting the books, zuko joins earlier on. However, I would like to ask some truly out of the box fanfic if you have any.
