I'm looking for a file explorer to improve my workflow.

Hello! I've been using a free Soundly account as my main file explorer for my sound design workflow but I'm getting stuck due file limits.

My libraries are getting HUGE and I've been using the horrible windows explorer to find sounds and I was wondering if there's an app that can help me with this.

I used Explorer by Sound Particles but it's just not good. Feels so cluttered, slow and I can't drag and drop to Nuendo like the soundly app.

I've also considered paying the yearly soundly suscription because honestly, it's a bang for a buck.

Every help will be appreciated!

Using an old Launchpad MK1 on Nuendo 15

Hello everyone! I recently found an old Launchpad MK1 that I want to use mostly for percussions and Nuendo functions but I'm having some problems with the MIDI Mapping.

MIDI REMOTE works fine but I want the keys to be in tonal order from the first pad (there's a jump once you go from the last row note to the next row).

Some forums talk about a drum rack mode and a X/Y mode but I have no idea how to change those.

I managed to map everything how I wanted but the main square keys are giving me some headaches. I have no idea on how to use the automap and I would appreciate some step by step help here so I can map everything and give some use to this controller.

Thank you!

If a game's audio sounds generic, it is.

In an era where soulless, AI-generated assets are manufactured by those hunting for lazy shortcuts, protecting the sacred ritual of artistic creation for video games is non-negotiable.

I could spend hours explaining the psychoacoustics behind gameplay immersion. But here is what actually matters, my dear dev: every single sound is vital to making your world and its stories connect with players on a deeply emotional level.

I grew up with Halo, Resident Evil, Rayman and hundreds more. I cannot fathom playing those games in absolute silence. Even in the most primitive era of gaming, audio was never an afterthought—it was a foundational pillar.

Earth is a rare anomaly in the universe where sound can actually exist. Neglecting it in game development is like willingly removing one of your own senses, depriving players of a fundamental piece of the human experience.

HIPERMOTIV was born from a need for expression and innovation. We want to be the spearhead for an industry that desperately needs expert sound architects to inject identity and soul into indie worlds—whether they are crafted in a massive studio or on a personal PC in a Venezuelan bedroom.

HIPERMOTIV exists for the indies.

For their commercial success, their player retention, and their power to push the boundaries of imagination through art.

NAS vs External SSD's for game composing and sound design

Hello everyone!

I want to know what's suits me best for my workflow as a game composer and sound designer.

I'm planning on buying a Macbook Pro with enough SSD to run my orquestral libraries (I think 2 TB are plenty of space) and relying on external drives to run Nuendo and Pro Tools sessions, and for clients backups.

I have a massive SFX library from BOOM and other companies and I was wondering...

Is a NAS a good solution for what I need? I want to be able to work from any place (Specially running my SFX libraries. I'm using Soundly as a File Explorer btw) and running those sessions with full speed.

I was thinking in having a Dock with enough ports and adding external drives but the ones I need for running the work I do (Thunderbolts) are quite expensive. I want to make sure I made the right investment here.

Long and detailed explanations are appreciated!!!
