Mostly all of my other textile crafts groups are super active on reddit and beyond. I find that felting seems to be more of a lowkey craft community and social media wise, compared to other fiber arts like knitting, cross stitch, and crochet.

I would love to join a group discord if we have one for this subreddit? Or if not, would anyone be interested in joining if I started one?

I really want to connect with more felt makers, and have a space where we can readily seek knowledge and inspiration from one another.
Also to have a place to hopefully inspire more people to get into felt!

So I regularly attend a lot of fiber arts based craft circles, however most of the time it’s predominantly people who either knit, crochet, or maybe cross stitch; Which is fine as I also knit and crochet, but I’d love to attend a craft group where I’m surrounded and constantly inspired by a group of felters!

Im finding it difficult to find communal events geared towards other felt workers in NYC, which is odd because I know we’re out here!

So I thought, instead of chasing community why don’t I just create one! My question to you all is, if you live in or close to NYC would you attend a monthly felt craft circle?

If so, what are some of the things you’d want present in the space to feel comfortable enough to craft in?

This will be my first time ever trying to put together a craft club, so even if you aren’t in NYC but you have insight, questions, comments, I’d still love to hear from you!

Question is in the title! I have a creative itch that I need to scratch! I’ve never ordered from living felt before and was wondering how quick the shipping is?

Debating on if I should order, or go hunt for supplies in person!
