Finally finished the focal point on my Coraline themed hat 🥳

Oh look a strawberry!

Working out things like shapes and stuff I think its going well. My seeds could have been a little smaller but the top looks good. Still working on the perfectly smooth finish tho. It may be my wool or my needle but either way I am happy with the results and hopefully will make a mushroom garland before my next LARP game

Butterflies and Transience

"Butterflies and Transience" series. Felt, porcelain, cunning cow horn, antique glass eye. 25 cm.

The chance to observe a butterfly in detail is like the chance to understand which day of your life is the best. You can guess, but something always eludes you. But there is a secret method of ancient magicians, equally suitable for observing both butterflies and days: to call this very thing, fleeting past, the most beautiful.

trying to make a mossy log

I’m trying to make a log with an interesting brown/green mossy bark texture but I’m struggling with the design and execution. This is the last creecher of my ongoing texture series. My initial idea was to make raised ridges for the bark and then that developed into stiffened wet felted flaps which would be more fun to touch but now I’m not sure if that would even look like bark. I’ve also considered getting real bark and incorporating that in the sculpture. Right now I just have a nice log of brown wool that does look like a log. And some design ideas doodled on it.

Another thing I’ve considered is needle felting the flaps separately and then attaching them on the log and then wet felting the whole log but I’m not sure how viable that is. Any ideas/tips are appreciated!

My first non-freeform project

It's a maple story mushroom (from a videogame that my boyfriend plays). I figured this was a doable shape for my first sculpting attempt. I'm really really happy with it! So addictive haha

All dressed up fancy

I don’t usually add little clothes to my creatures, because I can’t sew very well! But I gave her a little lace ruffle.

She doesn’t look that happy about it really

[Self] Look at yourself…

I took up needle felting last year and I LOVE it … it just takes more patience than I have sometimes 😂✌🏼 … only sometimes tho.

Update: I am an Aquarius, I can be swayed … a buddy made a point no one really made, so —heard. And I hear a few of you out there close to it, so my bad, I hear you ✌🏼💕

2nd Update: I woke up very tempted to remove the nsfw tag on this post after thinking on it more, but I suppose that’s petty— almost as petty as the original debate. One day, not to far from now, when you are walking your dog that is wearing it’s government mandated doggie underwear so not to offend the general public with the lewd display of a nude animal, you will have the religious right and the blue hairs to blame— policies born from disingenuous debates such as the one found here in the comments.

How on earth do you make realistic felted wool ears?

The outer and inner sides of the ear are different colors, but when I needle felt them together, the wool keeps poking through to the other side. How do you keep the colors separate on each side? Do you glue them?

I want to make pretty ears like that, but I honestly have no idea how… it makes me sad

Wanting Advice On Selling

Hello, I've been wanting to start selling some of my projects on Etsy and I wanted to ask what I should expect from that, mainly in regards to keeping the shop stocked and what to expect with production speeds.

I have this pig I was wanting to sell, and I wanted to sell a line of similar animals in hoodies with puns, phrases, or just cute designs that relate to the animal. I can make multiple of them before starting the shop so I have a good stock for orders, but that would run out eventually and I'm worried about facing consequences for taking too long to make more to keep the store stocked. Does anyone here have experience selling their creations on Etsy and were there consequences to taking too long to keep up with restocking? I'd prefer to take the time to make a good quality product and I do work so I have to plan making products around that so it would take time to make these at the quality I'd prefer and think would be better for selling.

This is my Pork Champ by the way, I know the lettering isn't perfect. I do want to improve on that, especially when looking at selling projects with letters on hoodies. But thank you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate any advice y'all can offer! 🫶

Loops and threads needle felting “kit” doesn’t come with a needle

So I went to Michael’s to get a needle felting kit since there’s no one around me that sells the individual needles. I just need to put a face on a crochet doll so I grab the Loops & Threads sushi needle felting kit. I look on the back and it says it includes a needle. Well I finish up my crochet doll and go to put the face on and when I open up the kit it’s just some wool and an embroidery needle….

What’s the point of the kit if it doesn’t come with the needle? I wasted this money on something I bought just for the needle and some wool and it didn’t even come with a needle to even begin felting with…. Aren’t these supposed to be starter kits?

Painting spring and a beautiful kitty with wool 🌸🐈

One of my finished pieces from May 🌿

This is a wool painting of a beautiful Bengal cat named Milo,His family and I wanted to capture just a moment of him running through a spring meadow in the sun.

The entire piece is needle felted using only wool. To build the depth of the scene , the grass, trees, and light. I worked with multiple blended tones and subtle color layering.

This piece was also a technical challenge for me, especially in achieving the natural gradients and atmospheric lighting entirely through fiber.

I am SO in love with the final look! It came out so beautiful and exactly how I pictured it.

Some of my charms I made this week for a market

I crammed last week felting bag charms for a craft market over the weekend. Here are some of my favorites. The puffer fish and rodents eating watermelon sold immediately, but my favorite was the lucky hobbit foot 😂

Hope y’all like them and happy needle felting / stabbing 🥰🥰

Custom Needle-Felted Pet Portrait – Meet Romeo

Meet Romeo!

This is a custom needle-felted framed portrait, featuring one of his birthday photos.

His human says he’s cute most of the time, so the eyes were subtly adjusted to bring out his natural sweetness and playful spirit.

It’s more than just a decoration—it’s a little piece of love frozen in time, capturing a special moment that belongs only to him and his human.
