Guess which one is the needle felt pikachu

I actually made this a few years ago and it got a few million views on tiktok. It was my first attempt at needle felting and it was one of those moments where you look at something and think “I could 100% do that” I’m currently moving and found him at the bottom of a box collecting dust 😭 thought I would share

Someone bought something from my then immediately resold it for more money

I sold a jumper to someone, i had it listed as £9, they offered £7.20 so I accepted, then today I was just curious to check my buyers listings (only sold a few things) and saw that the person has the jumper listed for £10, in the caption says it’s very good condition, I had the sizing and material listed so I don’t think they would have had an issue with it, especially if they are claiming it’s really good condition. They also listed it the same time they got the order

Could there be another reason they are doing this? Or are they trying to make a profit?

What are the most common breeds you get booked for? 🐾

For me I would say springer/cocker spaniels 100%, there’s also a lot of poodle breeds!

Owner made me extremely uncomfortable

Just want to put it out there I will not be booking with this owner again. This is more of a rant

So i got a new request a few weeks ago from this person who had just gotten a new puppy. She said she wasn’t wanting to book anything yet, but wants to arrange a meet and greet as she is looking for someone to help out with walks/drop ins/house sitting when needed. I told her I would be more than happy to help, I let her know I plan to move away in a couple months so I gave her the option to book with me until then, or book with someone else who will be more consistent. Her response was something along the lines of “I’m happy to book with you, this sassy puppy will likely make us come and visit you once you move” I found this message quite odd as I hadn’t even met her at this point. I thought maybe she misunderstood, maybe she thought I meant I’m happy to keep helping out after I move. Mind you I’m moving to a city which is a 1.5h drive away, so that would be inconvenient for both of us. Before I responded, I asked my stepdad, brother, a couple friends, and my boyfriend what they thought about that message, they all said it sounds like a joke. I thought maybe I was just looking too much into it, even though I didn’t understand what the joke was. So I ended up just replying to her asking when she is free for a m&g, and didn’t acknowledge what she had said.

Fast forward to the meet and greet, I show up at the time we discussed, and she seemed like a nice lady. She offered me tea and I said no, because I didn’t plan on staying long. It was just a quick meet and greet after all, but I ended up staying for over 90 minutes, because she kept asking me questions, and every time I would begin to answer she would interrupt me mid sentence to coo over the puppy and play with it. I don’t think I finished one sentence. She also gave me a book in which she wrote down every single thing about this puppy; what it likes, dislikes, commands it knows. She made me read it and asked what I thought. I thought it was pointless, because it’s a puppy, if it dislikes something at 3 months old you should be working on it, not accepting it. She was telling me about how she had bought this dog loads of clothes etc and I was trying not to judge, because I really don’t agree with people who anthropomorphise animals. I thought maybe she’s just in the “early dog owner” days and she will get over it.

A few days after the meet and greet she put a request in for a day sit 7am-5pm, I said I was able to do it, and told her I have a few other drop ins during the day, but I wouldn’t be gone for more than an hour at a time. She told me she didn’t want me to do to the other drop ins because she doesn’t want the puppy left for more than 15 minutes. At 3 months, 1-2 hours being left alone is generally fine, but instead of arguing, I cancelled and moved around my drop ins.

In the days leading up to the house sit, I repeatedly messaged her asking for instructions regarding feeding and walking. She would answer everything BUT that. So the evening before, I told her I will NEED to know these things before the house sit. She told me she will still be home when I get there so she will tell me then, she also let me know she won’t need me until 9am.

I show up at 8.50am, she opens the door and is wearing her pyjamas, she then smiles and laughs as she lets me know she isn’t going anymore so she doesn’t need me. I was so frustrated. I didn’t even laugh or smile back. I had changed my whole schedule for this. She told me the reason she didn’t call me is because it was 8am and she thought I would have already been on the bus. If that were the case, I’d rather be called before I’m there, so I can get off the bus and get on another one to go back home, not wait until I’m there to let me know. That day I didn’t get the bus because my boyfriend had dropped me off before he started work. She then said “I was thinking we could have breakfast and then if you want you can walk the dog in the afternoon”. I told her if she doesn’t need me, I will get my boyfriend to quickly come back and pick me up before he starts work. I told her if she wants the dog walked, I can come back at noon. She told me that’s fine, and that the walk consists of carrying the dog to the parking lot, walking it for 2 minutes, and then carrying it back. She also let me know the dog isn’t fully vaccinated yet. Though it says it’s fully vaccinated on its profile.

As my boyfriend was on his way back to get me, she asked if I wanted to see the puppy get its breakfast so that I know for next time - I already knew in my head there isn’t going to be a next time but I said sure anyway to not cause any awkwardness. She then proceeded to get a dish, and put frozen blueberries and watermelon in it. I audibly gasped, she told me that’s what the dog likes for breakfast.

She also told me the reason she didn’t end up going away was because the puppy was up all night vomiting, and all day the previous day was gagging/vomiting whenever it went to eat. I told her that’s not good at all, she said the dog seems fine now. As I was leaving she was telling me how she took the dog in the shower with her the previous morning, and the dog was “smelling lovely” afterwards. I just put two and two together and assumed that her human shower products have went on the puppy, the puppy has licked it and that’s what has caused the puppy to vomit and struggle to eat.

Before I could come back to walk the puppy at noon, my own dog ended up having an emergency vet appointment, so I (thankfully) got to cancel the walk. My dog ended up having a false alarm, and was fine by the time we got to the vet, the vet still checked her over and said she is fine, I think she was trying to save me.

I am now going through the process of reporting this owner as well as on Rover, as I am genuinely concerned for this dogs safety.

TL:DR - owner treats new puppy like a genuine baby. Not taking its natural needs into account. She had me cancel all my drop ins to look after her puppy for the day, then cancelled on me when I got to the house, and thought I would want to have breakfast with her. I also found out she feeds the 3 month old puppy fruit for breakfast. And potentially poisoned it by taking it into the shower with her.

Rival sitter

ETA - (also included a TL;DL in comments), I have only checked this sitters profile once, there’s nothing wrong with that. I checked for a second time briefly today because of odd cod’s rather rude comment. I think I may be wrong to have titled the post rival sitter - I just meant he is the only other sitter in my town! I wouldn’t agree that I am obsessing over this sitter - I’m not losing sleep over it lol, just wanted advice on what to do with my current clients because I worry for them having a bad experience on rover. But after reading advice on here I think I’m just not going to get involved! I agree it’s unprofessional to bad mouth someone else. I think the bio thing just rubbed me the wrong way.

***

I’m not sure if anyone else has this issue. But I live in a really small town where there is only like 3 sitters, one of them hasn’t updated their calendar in over a year so not sure if still active. But there is another sitter who I seem to have tension with. I’ve been on rover for over a year now, he started a couple months ago. I first came across his profile when I was checking out my profile from the booking perspective to see my prices (unrelated issue where it sometimes puts my prices a lot higher than what I have set them as for some reason) I just checked his profile out of curiosity and saw he has copied my bio word for word. Like 95% similarity, like there’s no way he didn’t look at my profile. I’m not sure how I feel about it. So that was my first impression of him. I immediately went and changed my bio - it was needing updated anyway. Anyway that’s case 1

I have had a couple clients come to me with bad experiences from him, like he doesn’t show up to meet and greets. And on his profile he has about 20 reviews which are all referrals from friends which you can get when you first start your profile. Which makes him seem less authentic as they are all from the same day (clients words). He is also apparently super rude.

Another thing, I have a regular dog I sit for, one day the owner wanted a last minute walk but I wasn’t available. So they booked him. Now, this dog is extremely reactive and nervous when being handled, it’s a small dog, but it took me months to get it to go on a walk, it WILL bite if you try to put the harness on. Once you go on the walk it’s fine unless you see other dogs, but it does not tolerate being touched. After he walked this dog he left a review saying it was a super friendly dog and amazing on walks. This rubs me the wrong way because I don’t think you should just lie about a dog’s temperament as it can be very misleading. I am always very honest when it comes to reviewing a reactive dog, it is NOT rude to say a dog is reactive. You can still leave a lovely review and still mention a dog is reactive. But to completely omit that seems unprofessional to me.

I’m in the process of moving to a bigger city for university, planning on doing rover on the side. But the main thing is, do I refer all my clients to this guy? Do I advise against going with him? Or do I just leave them to it. I just don’t want them to have a bad experience and form a negative opinion on Rover. Because I hate when I see comments online about Rover being a terrible service just because they had a terrible service with a specific sitter.

Sitters help!?

So this guy booked me for 1 daily drop in for his two cats for a week while he was on holiday. He initially put the booking time as 1pm, we did a meet and greet the day before the drop ins started and he told me he only put 1pm as it made him select a time, and he is happy for me to just show up whenever, I told him I will probably do it in the evenings as I’m more free then, and I told him I will update the booking to 6pm every day, and he will need to accept, he said okay.

So I modify the booking after meeting, and hear nothing, I could see that he saw the message, but didn’t reply or accept, I did the drop in the first night, and when I went to bin the litter and food pouches noticed there wasn’t a bag in the trash can, so I asked if he had any bags for it, he reads the message and doesn’t reply, I notice that it says he has 72 hours to accept the modification. I just assumed that meant if he doesn’t accept it in that time then it just goes back to default (1pm). I continue doing drop ins.

Day 3, I was running late so messaged him to let him know I might be an hour or two later. Left on seen again.

Day 4, I show up, go to start the rover card on my phone and it says I have no more bookings for today, I check my calendar, all the bookings with him for the rest of the week are gone. I message him to say that because he didn’t accept the modification, the drop ins have expired, but let him know I am still here doing them. And to my surprise, he reads the message and doesn’t reply.

I got in touch with Rover support, and told them everything I just said above, but my main concern is about payments. They responded by asking how I want to modify the booking, I told them I just want it changed to 6pm every day, and asked if this will affect my payments. They respond by saying they have sent a request to the owner for drop ins at 6pm, and that he will still need to accept them. I really doubt he is going to accept it, my friend suggested maybe he doesn’t have service, but surely if he was trying to reach out the message would send when he get’s reconnected? As he clearly is getting some connection if he is reading my messages.

My main worry is if I’m going to get paid or not, I obviously did the booking today without doing a rover card because there was no booking there. Does anyone know what I can do? Or if I will get paid

Why does it do this?

This happens every 4-5 months or so for the last 2ish years, everytime it does it I can’t remember what I did to fix it the last time.

I have tried switching HDMI ports, switching HDMI cables, dusting the inside of the PS5, turning it off for a while then turning it back on again, changing plug outlet, I don’t know if it’s a PS5 or TV issue, but when I use my TV to go on channels it doesn’t do it, which makes me think it’s the PS5.

Can’t get 100% completion stat

Trying to platinum RDR1 and only need one more trophy which is the Redeemed one (get 100% game completion stat) I have done literally everything that’s needed and I’m stuck on 98.5%

These are all the things I have done:
- all 57 story missions (they all have the medals next to them)
- All strangers missions
- 20 bounty missions (8 in New Austin, 8 in Mexico, 4 in West Elizabeth)
- purchased all 5 rare weapons (Mauser pistol, Evan’s repeater, carcano rifle, semi-auto shotgun, lemat revolver)
- unlock 9 outfits - I’ve unlocked 13
- completed 5 jobs (stats say 5 job locations completed - 3 being nightwatch and 2 being horse breaking)
- completed all 8 gang hideouts
- bought all 13 safe houses
- won all 6 mini games - even went back and played and won them all again to make sure
- discovered all 94 locations
- completed all challenges

I genuinely don’t know what else I can do, I don’t want to just give up as I have dedicated so much time to getting platinum on this game, is there any ideas or things I might have missed?

UPDATE : I checked the outfits I hadn’t unlocked yet and found a stranger mission I hadn’t done, so that brought it up to 99%. After doing that stranger mission I unlocked the outfit and it is currently at 99.5%. Im aware that some of the outfits are DLC, so they don’t count towards it, going to try unlock another outfit and see if it gives me the last .5% 🤞🏻
