You didn’t read the description and that’s not my fault with a side of fat shaming

I listed this as a UK 24/26. It’s labelled in the description with 4XL. The listing photo has the brand (Killstar) and a photo of the 4XL label on the garment.

Buying turns around and says ‘size 20 more like 200’ then said it was listed as a 20. Not once in the description did I mention size 20.

Seller also says the item is ‘massive’ and ‘way bigger than a 20’ as well as the ‘20 more like 200’ really irked me.
I’m hoping Vinted sides with me this time.

First sale on Vinted and the buyer has submitted a dispute claim because they are on holiday and can't confirm the order was delivered...

Just wondering if anyone knows what happens in this situation? I'm a new seller and my first sale just got delivered to the buyer. They straight away suspended the transaction because they are on holiday and can't confirm the order was delivered. Is this just a loophole to get extra time to check the order? Or do the Vinted slop bots side with the buyer for a refund in this case?

Genuinely hate people like this

Not only are they scamming people by putting up such a low price, but then have the audacity to do "private" selling which can be more harmful for the buyer and saying "Oh, yeah, so that the buyers protection doesn't cost as much for you" but they then they put the actual price for the figure itself in the description, where it will likely not be seen by most people that are looking at the figure, but also over price the damn "full set" with over 100, which is insane

Would you raise an issue?

Seller used staples on the packaging and some of the staples went through the puffer jacket. She told me to just take them off but they obviously left holes in the jacket. Even though they are barely noticeable, I still think there was an error on the sellers end.

Someone bought £200+ of goods from me, claimed they didn’t receive them, then listed them on Vinted

Hey looking for maybe some help on what to do really:

Last year in October, I sold a bundle of 3 items for over £200

Buyer said items wasn’t in the box, and vinted ai system sided with them. I tried to communicate with Vinted but it’s a AI response of Sellers fault each time.

I gave up after many months of emailing legal@vinted.com and the AI chatbot and just blocked the buyer.

Fast forward to today, I’ve been thinking about it and I wanted to check the accounts page who claimed there was no items, and I couldn’t believe it: they’re selling my items on their vinted page.

You might be saying “it could just be the same item, not yours” I would normally agree with you, but it was graded Pokemon cards. They have the same certification. I have proof I graded them myself, I have some screenshots of the bundle and I have all the chatlog with the buyer claiming items were missing.

What can I actually do here? Vinted won’t help me at all, he’s selling my items and getting away with it and I’m out of £200+

I have screenshots of the seller, I don’t want to post it on here to spook him or anything, I just want to know what to do

Edit: following some people’s advice on here, I’ve sent another email to legal@vinted with screenshots, evidence, the whole thing and….

They sent the automated response again.

I’ve reported to the Report Fraud (new action fraud) but honestly doubt anything will happen to it.

Vinted does and will allow you to be scammed and there’s not much you can do about it.

I’m scared to end up here

I’m so scared that one day I am going to see my account or item on here :(
I don’t do anything wrong on my account but I would feel so bad to be posted here.
That is all, thank u.

Accepted offer and then they offer less

Has anyone accepted an offer from someone on Vinted and then they come back with an even lower offer? They should not allow that. I ended the listing and moved it to eBay for a higher price - F that person.

Vinted ruined my neighbors life (and he doesn’t know it yet)

I’d like to start by saying, in the year we’ve lived in our home, we have maybe talked to our neighbor twice…and “talked” is generous: very short greetings, at that.

However, my partner and I have decided we’re friends. Why, you may ask?

  1. Him and I alternate who mows the grass between our homes. We never spoke about it. It just happened once, and then never stopped happening.
  2. The way he talks to his dog is the biggest green flag.
  3. He’s just someone who radiates kind energy.
  4. He waves at us like we are his besties.

Anyway. Said neighbor owns a Jeep. My partner and I are not Jeep people—we don’t own one—but we noticed he only had a few ducks on his dash. And though we don’t know much about Jeeps, we know if there’s one thing Jeep owners love, it’s ducks on their dash.

So, one day, while thrifting, my partner brought home a rubber duck with a melted ice cream cone on its head she found for $1. We put it on his tire, and the next day, it was on his dash.

Lovely. Heartwarming. Cute.

About a week later, a coworker showed me Vinted.

Friends.

Do you know how many rubber ducks you can buy for just $1?

Little does this poor man know, I now have more than 30 ducks sitting in a box in our home, awaiting their perfect moment to be left on his car. Seasonal ones. Character ones. Themed ones.

We have no idea if he has any idea it’s us, but we are having a blast with the bit, while also watching his duck collection slowly grow.

So, yes. My poor neighbor’s life is about to be ruined (or ducking amazing) because of Vinted. And he has no idea.

* pics of some of my purchases just for fun

why do people list genuinely dirty items on vinted??

I don't care how cheap you're selling it for love just throw it in the washing machine before you list it? It's caked in mud/dirt ffs on a bright yellow item where it's really noticeable are people seriously that lazy 😭

sold to a reseller

sold my first ever vinted package! It went well!

It was a bag of our baby’s newborn clothes we don’t need anymore. I was surprised it sold so quickly.

I thought I’d go and message the buyer to ask if they’d like me to be in touch when my baby grows out of the next age group of clothes, it felt like a wholesome thing.

Turns out their page is FILLED with baby clothes, whole bundles of like 30 onesies for newborn etc.

I mean good for them to resell things on I guess I just felt incredibly naive in that moment of what I thought could be maternal bonding lol 😝

Offers accepted nobody buys!!!

Why people why!?!?! You send offers with no intention of buying?!? Why?

Also I found a bit suspicious the first offer one after the other by users with no review. Is this a new scam?

But regardless, I’ve accepted at least 10 offers since Monday in different items and no sales! So frustrating! 🤣😫

Buyer made a claim because she’s on vacation, Is this even allowed?

Hi! I’m a fairly new seller on Vinted and I’m a little confused about what I’m supposed to do here.

I sold an item, shipped it, and the tracking now shows that it was delivered. The buyer opened a claim, and then messaged me saying that she’s not home until the 21st of august, and she made a claim so that she can make sure it was delivered. Are they allowed to make a claim just because they are out of town? I don’t think that it’s fair to me that they can withhold my money because they aren’t there for another week. If the issue is that she has no way of checking if the package was delivered because she doesn’t have a “fancy ring camera,” she should not purchase things when she’ll be out of town.

What am I supposed to do as the seller? Should I just leave everything alone and wait for the buyer to get home, or is there something I need to do with the claim through Vinted? Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this before and what happened.

I am sick of seeing Australian listings!!

Is anybody else in the UK's feed literally JUST Australian listings?

When are Vinted finally going to bring out a filter for countries, like ebay?

I've tried 'resetting' my feed and it's not working. I've been using vinted since it came out and it's just making me want to delete it tbh.

And I don't bloody care if it's not going to cost me extra to buy or send to Aus, I just want to see UK based listings thaaaaaanks.

Why Do Expensive Clothes Sell Faster on Vinted?

Why do the exact same clothes that are uploaded on Vinted sell faster when they’re listed as “expensive” compared to when they’re listed cheaply, even if the cheaper ones are clean and in perfect condition? Do people just prefer more expensive items, or what’s the reason? For example, I sell my clothes for a relatively cheap price, and you can clearly see from the photos that they’re in good condition and not damaged. However, my listings get very few views, while other people selling the exact same item for for three times as much and get lots of likes .

Probably over reacted but I wont loose sleep!

Selling a bundle of false nails for cheap, it is only 0.4 in a straight line, unfortunately I cannot walk through buildings. Its actually a zig zag through a housing estate in the opposite direction I travel to work.

I have disabled dpd as an option for delivery aswell as evri,

1 because its awkward to get to on work days ( i leave at 6:50am on the first bus going in the opposite direction to then get a second bus to my job, getting home after 7pm most days, after the same journey home)

and 2 because evri have lost TOO MANY parcels now! I have it stated on my profile that I will cancel any order choosing evri regardless. I dont have that stated for dpd because I will make the effort to go there on my day off even though it will be my only reason for going into the estate.

Its probably because i am working long hours in retail atm and am fed up with having to bend over backwards to help lazy, ungrateful, rude customers all day but for the sake of £4 no thankyou, id literally rather give them away 😂🤷‍♀️ i may be over tired, I probably over reacted, im definitely haangry 😂😂

Anyone else just say "Nope!" Today? 😅👀
