Purchased off her and she cancelled straight away & blocked me. Looking at her bio I had a lucky escape 😳

What’s the most random thing you’ve seen on vinted?

I’ve sent many unhinged things but this (shark / ray egg cases) caught me off guard. This isn’t necessarily unhinged, just… unexpected?

Seller left the Chat GPT prompt in their description.

I can tell if things are written by AI very easily, so I didn't need this to confirm that it was. But still telling that people cannot even be bothered to proof-read what they paste which wasn't even penned by them.

Listing stuck on ‘processing’ for quite a while now. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Tried uploading an item and it usually processes in seconds but now it’s been stuck for 30min. I had my friend also try upload a different item and it’s the same on their account. Anyone else having this issue? What’s the cause of this?

Is anyone else having every new listing "processing" today?

One item was a £3 pre-loved top by a high street retailer so nothing eyebrow-raising.

Undercharged designer items before medical emergency, buyers all want me to reserve the items when listed back for sale

This is a bit of a moral dilemma I guess. I sold 3 designer items that I couldn't find pricing details for on vinted which all sold quickly *right* before I got into a medical emergency and have had my account on vacation while i recovered. I told all the buyers the truth and took the negative feedback of not being able to ship. All 3 have asked me to hold the item for them/that I have to reserve it for them if I list it back for sale, which is fair I feel, right thing to do right?

The problem is that I undercharged for all of them without knowing, and now do really need the money to pay for said medical issues 🫠 Im talking 50 for something that sells for 150, etc. I am unsure of what to do, as I do want to keep my promises, but im also in a tough spot and with the sales being already cancelled I could really use the extra money

What would be the right choice here? It would be a $250 difference overall 😮‍💨

Banned for counterfeit item?!

I was just banned in vinted for selling a “counterfeit item”, which is not true. I've submitted an appeal but it may take days to get a response. I’ve seen that this happens to a lot of people, since they use AI. Has anyone been banned for this reason and actually gotten your account back???

Desperate Times

Three sellers. All thanking me for pressing like. All offering to rush off to the shops to ship within hours. I find it massively off putting and hate excess messages. But aside from this I wonder is this a sign of how badly vinted is doing at the moment, making people act desperate, causing a knock on effect of this culture of thanks and quick shipping offers , people telling you their days schedule so you buy their item. Wondering if I ought to start messaging people with my shipping schedule too 😂😂😂

Pets in photos

No, putting your pet in the photo doesn’t make me want to buy it more. I have 2 dogs and a cat and don’t let them anywhere near the things I’m selling. I find it a bit icky and disrespectful. I found one where the cat is biting at the hoodie strings…

Very suspicious

Confused!

Please no negativity or rude remarks about the photos I am helping someone out that's homeless and I just lost my daughter and I dont need the negative drama ....

So I ordered a pair of shoes from vinted and I asked the lady if they had been shipped she told me yes on my end it was not showing a tracking number so I gave it a couple of days and I messaged her about it again she sent me a screenshot of the tracking number and I'm still curious as to why the tracking number is not showing on my end I ended up tracking the number and it's saying that she only created a label I just don't understand why the lady keeps lying to me has anyone dealt with this before???

Delicate item packaged extremely badly

Hi, I just bought a mini PC from someone on Vinted and the item arrived packaged directly in the cardboard box with absolutely no padding. There are some minor bends on the aluminum case, but it's impossible to tell whether it was during shipping or not, since original picture does not show that side of the case.

This is a relatively heavy item with with moving parts and electronics inside, so I am quite disappointed to say the least. Even if PC works, how would I know if something was not damaged and would come to bite me later on.

It's a first time I had such a situation. What do you advice I would do in such situation? Curious if I end up having to ship the item back myself, would I need to pay the shipping costs?

Is there a reason you let items auto complete?

I've currently got over £160 of sales that have all been delivered and collected in the last 2 days but still not been completed by buyer's.

I'm not desperate for the money to be transferred but it really irritates me sometimes. I understand if it's a small cpl quid t-shirt but 3 of these are £40 sales. Sometimes feels like an f-u from buyer like a laugh at your expense. Anyone else?

These ai illustrative photos are starting to pmo

These images give a false impression of the fit and condition of the garment. I know it’s not that deep because the seller still has listed photos of the actual garment but some people might buy these thinking that they’re going to fit them the same way as in the illustrative photo.

I tried to confront the seller about this and they just blocked me😂

Anyone else's "it's only a few quid" buys quietly pile up into stuff you never wear?

I've noticed the low price makes me way less careful. On a normal site I'd think twice; on here it's "it's £5, why not" and suddenly there's a bag of pieces that looked great in someone's listing photo and just don't work on me. Secondhand so no easy return, so it doesn't go back, it just becomes a pile. How do you keep your buying disciplined on Vinted? Rules for yourself, or a way of judging a listing before you commit?

Vinted’s AI system banned me

Well, it finally happened. Vinted’s stupid Ai bot banned me.

I was selling something for $5 (that doesn’t require any authenticity btw) and their ai bot immediately flagged my listing and the screen refreshed and I got this message.

I purchased this shirt over 2 years ago at a discount store. It’s not even name brand.

Anyone had any success stories on getting unbanned when it was done mistakenly by their ai bot?

I’ve already put an appeal on their app, went to their social media and emailed legal.

I’m honestly shocked considering there was no warning (I would’ve just deleted the shirt at that point). I have over 400+ five star reviews. Never had any order suspended. I purchase things on there frequently. I’m really upset all things considered, but I’m also not going to belly roll and just let them do it. If I have to send 10 messages and emails a day - I will.

Everyone selling needs to be extremely careful right now. It appears that since everything came out about trafficking they’ve sensitized their automated systems.

Is this person crazy or am I?

This is a NWT Old Navy swimsuit that was MAYBE $25 new and definitely from last season or maybe even older. The photo looked like a stock photo to me which I think is against Vinted rules. They have a bunch of baby items for sale at ridiculous prices. Like $20-$30 for one Carter's onsie. Last pic is their profile bio....

Get children off this app, I beg

I refuse to believe vinted is that complex? How are children allowed on the app.

Why is Vinted driving away legitimate sellers?

Before anyone jumps in, I’m not talking about counterfeit goods, scams or people deliberately breaking the rules. Those accounts should be removed.
I’m talking about genuine, established sellers who have spent years building a reputation, earned hundreds of positive reviews, and built trust with buyers.
So why does it feel like those are the very sellers Vinted is driving away?
One report can lead to listing removals, restrictions and account sanctions before there’s any meaningful investigation. By the time you’ve appealed, the damage has already been done. Lost sales, lost visibility and a constant feeling that your account is one report away from being restricted again.
What is the point of spending years building a five-star reputation if, when something goes wrong, you’re treated no differently from a brand-new account with no history? Surely an account with hundreds or even thousands of successful transactions deserves far more careful consideration before penalties are imposed.
I’m now so fed up with Vinted UK that I’m actively moving my business elsewhere. 🤬
I genuinely want to hear from anyone who has any insight into Vinted’s long-term direction, because from where I’m standing it feels like they’re making it harder and harder for legitimate sellers to stay.

At the moment, selling on Vinted is turning into a complete nightmare. 🤯 It already had non-existent support, but now they seem to be actively banning users. Or slapping on temporary restrictions 🤬
I feel like the only sellers they really want now are the ones who are one step away from just chucking all their old junk into a bin bag and dropping it off at a charity shop.

One final thing that really gets me…
I’ve never cared about people trying to make a few extra quid by buying from Temu, AliExpress or anywhere else and reselling it. That’s how retail has worked for decades. Supermarkets, gift shops, market traders, Amazon sellers and countless high street retailers all buy products and sell them for more.
Yet every day I see people crying that “it’s only £2 on Temu” or “look, it’s cheaper on AliExpress.” If you don’t like the price… don’t buy it. It’s really that simple.
People act as if making a profit is somehow immoral, while happily shopping with businesses doing exactly the same thing every single day. Where do they think the vast majority of products sold in shops and online come from? China. Go in any garden centre in the uk and Goggle lens it and see where it’s cheapest 🙄
If your issue is with businesses making a profit, you’ve got a problem with almost every retailer on the planet, not just someone trying to earn a few extra quid on Vinted. 🙄
