Should I ask for a refund??

Help I bought this ‘vintage coach bag’ but the quality is awful! As a seller I make sure I show all the defects on seperate slides. From slide 7 onwards is all the seller images but I don’t think the images showed the full extent of how damaged the bag was and the description as well ‘great condition’ I don’t know but to me this isn’t great condition… and the stains freak me out a lot! I want to ask for a full refund but I’m wondering if I’m in the wrong??

Sold item, buyer trying to scam his way out of paying.

Sold some Jordan’s, buyers received the parcel then clearly removed them and filled with random tat from his house. How do I sort this?!

Buyer didnt pick up parcel. Postal now wants me to pay more than what I sold it for.

I sold an Item (for just 3€ btw) and the buyer didnt pick it up. The parcel got sent back me. Now postal services want ME to pay 6,32€.

Ive contacted the buyer, who lives in the same city as I do, but they ghost me. Vinted support claimed they would get back at me within 48 hours, but its now 80+ and no response.

Obviously im not going to pay 6,32€ for an item I sold for 3€. Even if I sell it again for the same price I make a loss and wasted extra time.

Vinted says, that the buyer will get the refund as soon as I say i received the item. But I wonder what happens if I just dont pick it up. Will vinted just keep the money?

3€ isnt worth any hassle and it isnt really why I worry. But if something as simple as someone not picking their order causes me to either lose money (even though im not at fault) or my product, then it severely erodes my trust in the platform. This time it may have been just 3€, next time it could be more

So what should I do?

It's YSL tho

Price is roughly 300 euros. I've never seen blazers in pristine condition selling for much more.

I'm Locked out with more than 200€ in balance from january

This is kinda insane. I've gone through all the tests they said: taking photos of the card used to purchase, and documents or balances from the bank, but nothing. It's been 5 months and I think I've lost my money... Be aware, or take my advice and stay away from this platform

New to Vinted. Looking for advice on counter offers

I just started selling on vinted and loving it. However, I'm looking for advice. I have an item up and it has 92 favourites at the moment. I listed in for €20 knowing that I'll likely sell it for less and happy to do that. Five people offered me €12, which is the lowest possible they can offer I assume. Two other people have messaged me asking for measurements.

I’m wondering what the best strategy is now. Should I counter-offer those five offers at, say, €16, or should I lower the listing price to €16 so that everyone who has favourited it gets a notification about the price drop?
I’m worried that if I counter-offer €16, I might lose them.
I’m also curious whether it’s a bad strategy to send a second offer if they don’t accept the first one — for example, if they don’t accept €16 after two days, I then offer €15.
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Really Low Offers

I am attempting to get back into selling on vinted. I've had one sell so far. But I've gotten 2 incredibly low offers as well. I countered one of them and the person came back with an even lower offer🫠. I know low ball offers are common but I was hoping to at least make it a week or two on the app before they started up.

Seller using photo from my social media to sell their clothes

This is really weird?? Not only is it deceptive but it’s so strange to take someone else’s photo and repost it without asking them? It wasn’t even a listing photo for vinted it was a picture from my TikTok

I’ve messaged them and will report but just wanted to share because is so crazy to me 😭

False advertisement of chair, am I being too expecting?

For context, the first picture is how the chair was advertised in the listing, then the seller sent me another picture of the chair in our chat when I asked to see the back after purchasing the chair already, and she sent the second picture. I quickly realised the pictures didn’t look anything alike and brought the seller up on it, she claimed that she didn’t sell that type of chair anymore and I told her that was really unfair thing NOT to mention after I got into contact with her about the chair.

I asked her if she could send the chair as advertised and she said if I’m not happy to cancel the order. I don’t understand, if the chair isn’t the same as in the listing why use that specific photo? It’s so weird cause I really don’t like how it looks in the second photo

Why don’t sellers reply to questions ?!

As a seller myself, it blows my mind how many sellers do not reply to basic questions about their items! Especially when it’s more expensive items. There’s a pair of jeans that I have been wanting and since my funds from selling finally came in, I asked the seller whether they were low rise jeans or high waisted. It’s been days and I haven’t gotten a response. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me, and it sucks cause I genuinely want the item but I also don’t want to buy it if you can’t answer a basic question. I would understand if they had detailed descriptions but sometimes it just says “jeans size 8” or “message me for more info” so it’s super frustrating.

There was also a $60 coat I wanted and I asked if it was dry clean only and she read it and never responded. Like do you not want $60 from me?! Does this happen to anyone else? I don’t understand why I’m always being ignored 😓

Will I get any pushback for a return?

I ordered a haunt couture draculaura and got this in the mail. I’ve got a video of the package opening and there was just this note… Will I get any pushback if I do a return process? I’ve never had to do a return before

Latest Edit: Thanks everyone for the advice — I did start a return and the seller accepted it. So now I guess I have to return the letter they sent..? I feel like they’ll cause issues once it returns to them, like saying I kept the doll. Again, I do have video proof of opening the package so I think I’m covered? I’m debating if I should directly contact Vinted for their review?

Has anyone been getting weird messages on here from buyers?

Dude this has now happened to me twice where I’m getting messages about clothes but they end up being creeps. The first screenshot was for a bikini I was selling! I did not realize the pic at first that it was a guy

Was my offer rude?

I’m fairly new to Vinted and have only placed two orders within the last couple of weeks. I primarily buy second hand items and books off eBay and PangBooks. I was having trouble with the “Buy Now” button on Vinted (kept getting an error message). So I clicked the Offer button and I picked the lowest % option that was on there- which worked. The seller declined it and then it appears they blocked me? I can’t message them or even purchase the book at their full price (the Buy Now button wasn’t working anyway).

Idk, was it like, a stupid offer? Did I offend them? I’m not used to sellers on Vinted… I’ve never been blocked by a seller on any other platform. They would either decline the offer or make a counteroffer (or accept it; I’ve noticed sellers on eBay usually just accept). Is this a common practice among sellers on Vinted? I just didn’t think I’d be blocked over a couple of dollars… It was fine that they declined it, they’re in their right to- I just didn’t think I deserved to be blocked 😢.

Sorry- I’m just not familiar with how things “work” on Vinted. It’s not like I was trying to lowball them and asked for 30% off or something… 😢

The jumper in this listing is crying out for a lint roller 🥲

I'm not precious about the odd hair or bit of fluffy, but this is something else! Also the description just says it's in really good condition, no mention of the fur.

no more free shipping :(

vinted has blown up a bit more in the united states , always heard of it in passing but was overshadowed in my mind by poshmark , depop , mercari , whatnot , etc.

finally hopped on the in app in late february '26 , free shipping started being offered to US buyers and stayed that way up until may 20th . some items still have free shipping denoted depending on parcel size and location , but free shipping regardless of zipcode and size is no more

p.s. * depop is offering free shipping as of right now [ 20 may 2026]
