I caught Frank's surprise slot at Bearded Theory earlier in the year, an amazing moment. At the end of his set he played a really moving song which I didn't know but decided to look up afterwards. All I can now recall is the words were something like 'if you need someone...I'm available to you'.
I have searched for it and not found it. I think he said it was a new song but I am not sure. Does it exist yet anywhere and has he played it anywhere else?
I am building a health dashboard for my personal use with local Ollama, open-webui. The model choice needs to slog through the data and provide insights, no massive rush, but same decade would be nice.
I need a hardware upgrade though as my old laptops struggle even with smol.
Can anyone suggest some principles for choosing some suitable hardware? I am using Linux Mint so far on old Dell laptops.
I am new to the local LLM world and my hardware would need to be accept what is already a growing context and possibly some backgroud files (yet to be found). The workout/nutrition data files I am importing are expected to be approx 5GB of CSVs per year.
It is currently connected for updates only but when configured it will (initially) be disconnected (with maybe a restricted outbound publishing route to github/vercel).
Suggeations would be appreciated!
Here is an em dash - just for balance ;)
