Anyone else here go? I thought it was one of the best Frank Turner shows I’ve been to. And that’s a lot. Managed to get my wife along for the first time in years and she loved it too. I think it was partly being outdoors and the setting. Great time. Now thinking of going again to Cardiff on Saturday.
Bowling for Soup were a bit disappointing afterwards. Less energy and too much chat between songs.
I enjoyed American Hi Fi a lot more than I thought I would.
I caught Frank's surprise slot at Bearded Theory earlier in the year, an amazing moment. At the end of his set he played a really moving song which I didn't know but decided to look up afterwards. All I can now recall is the words were something like 'if you need someone...I'm available to you'.
I have searched for it and not found it. I think he said it was a new song but I am not sure. Does it exist yet anywhere and has he played it anywhere else?
Hello, I've got two spare tickets for Halifax if anyone wants them. I managed to blag free tickets from work, was expecting 2, and got 4. Hate to see them wasted, so if anyone wants to go, drop me a message. The only drawback is that we'd have to meet to go in as it's all on one QR code. Meeting planned for 6ish as I want to see American Hi-Fi.
Hey! So my "Take To The Road" DVD has got scratched and I'm unable to get it to play. I'm gutted! Does anyone have a .mp4 of it that I can download please? I've had a wave of nostalgia and really want to watch it again 😃
It was my first time seeing Frank and I absolutely bloody loved it. I had a feeling that given it was more or less his hometown show he would play Wessex Boy, and it was so, so good to hear it live. From looking at recent setlists, I wasn’t expecting I am Disappeared, and when he played those opening chords I basically squee’d like a little girl. Brilliant.
My 12-year-old’s first proper gig - she loves Frank, and us pogoing together at the end of Polaroid Picture is an absolute core memory for me now.
I loved the whole thing - shout out to American Hi-Fi and Bowling for Soup too. I didn’t go to see them, but they both put on a great show.
