cinnamon rolls

there's countless posts showing off the loopy whisk cinnamon rolls on this subreddit, but I thought I'd post mine anyway!

my partner is coeliac and is a big fan of cinnamon rolls so this was my weekly baking project seeing as it's autumn now (not that you'd know based on the weather - ive been wearing shorts and tshirts for the past couple of weeks). they were pleasantly easy to make, and we both thought they tasted lovely! they did harden quite a lot upon cooling but microwaving them made them really soft and yummy again :)

oat flour

hi everyone! i bought some oat flour for bread-baking purposes, which got delivered today. i was wondering if it being so 'chunky' was normal? mos/ gf bread recipes i use (most often loopy whisk/the art of gf bread) call for superfine flours and this definitely does not look superfine to me 😅 is it normal for oat flour to look like, or does finer oat flour exist? if so, does anyone have UK based recommendations for gf oat flour? thanks very much in advance!!

my little urban garden

i live in a very urban area in a big city and don't really have a garden (the back 'garden' is really just a strip of concrete that doesn't get any sun) so all our fruits and veggies live in the front garden where we used to keep the bins. it makes me so happy to see all this greenery every day, we always get people walking by commenting on it and the kids next door are fascinated by the strawberries which is lovely 🍓😁

fermented strawberry top/rhubarb syrup

.... well, it will be eventually 😁 im going for a sort of koso/cheong inspired type syrup - i put some strawberry tops and damaged rhubarb ends with equal weight of sugar and will let that ferment for a couple of weeks. hopefully by the end I'll have a lovely syrup to put in my weekly g&ts!

chocolate sea salt olive oil cookies

i made these cookies last year before my partner was diagnosed with coeliac, tried making them again with using gluten free flour and they turned out perfect!

the original recipe is on zaytoun dot co dot uk (can't seem to add a link), I just replaced the flour with doves farm gf plain white flour and added 1/2 tsp xantham gum. I cannot stress enough how delicious they are, highly recommend giving them a go!
