For context, I am a 24 year old male, I work multiple jobs, I have $3000 currently in a savings/bills account (any large payments i receive go to this account, my bills get taken out of that account, what’s left over at the end of the month is what I saved. Currently I am saving around $1000 a month.
I have a credit card bill that has climbed to $5600. I am about to receive an invoice for $3600. The account that this will bounce too will equal roughly $4100. What’s the best move for paying down my credit card? This month (may) I have another guaranteed $1000 invoice coming in from the same company I am about to receive an invoice from. Do I save the 4100 now, make my monthly payment, get my other $1000 next month, pull $500 from savings and pay it in full? or should I pay half now, and then the other half as soon as I can? Sorry if my wording on things were dumb. Trying to learn how to be more financially responsible and literate. Thank you!
