Datograph vs Zeitwerk

Just visited my local store,

few things I am seeing / sharing

first of all they had a very old catalog from 2021 or 2024? I like to browse on paper and felt that was a weird thing

very little inventory with mainly old models/very basic

I got my first lange in 2022 a Grand Lange 1 moonphase Yellow Gold been very happy with it and felt it was time for an upgrade.

Lots of things happening in my life a big move from Dubai to Asia / potentially getting married next year

Decided the time is right to put together a wishlist of some sort I was eyeing getting into FP Journe or Patek but since we have an ALS store here lets try see for a Zeitwerk or else.

Only model available was a 2022 very basic rose gold and honestly nothing exciting..

Looking over the catalog the SA mention about the Zeitwerk Date which seems more interesting but no models in store and two color variations

I am leaning towards the white gold but wouldve prefer a black dial..

the other models that catched my eyes were the datograph or the 1815 rattrapante (nothing available nor can order apparently so skipping)

datograph rose gold or platinum

thats it

I am just feeling a bit disappointed with the selection or even range of what is possible to order / do with the brand

to add I can find the datograph for 40k less on the grey market and the in store experience doesn’t feel nice.

feels like the store is starving compared to my experience in Dubai regardless

I am tempted towards the platinum datograph -> zeitwerk white gold -> datograph rose gold

they let me check a salmon dial richard lange but didn’t really impressed me? format seems better (smaller)

nothing honeygold / nothing lumen / nothing impressive

is this normal? I had a fantastic experience in Seoul a few years ago that stuck with me but now I am almost considering writing the brand off and focusing on something else if thats the state of ALS

Any other models besides the 3 I highlighted you guys would recommend should I make the pilgrimage to Hong Kong / Seoul / Tokyo for a better selection?

Thank you

Odd MRT behaviour

I’d like to preface this post that I have been visiting taiwan in and out for the past 8 years and recently decided to have longer trips here months at a time.

Recently I was on the red line boarding at Xiangshan, board and it is pretty empty so put my bagpack nearby..

It fills up pretty quickly after we depart and some people sit next to me and suddenly this uncle farted look at me in the eyes and left

I didn’t think much of it besides the smell but it happened to me again this week where a person sitting in front and on the side fart assaulted me pretty much at the same time and looked at me then left

Now I am left a bit puzzled and wondering this never happened to me before is this something occurring more and more?? some sort of old man trolling what is happening
