6 piece collection
I recently added a 1983 Datejust reference 16014 to round out my six piece collection. I’ve greatly favored the 5 digit vintage/neo-vintage references overtime as opposed to the newer 6 digit models. Even though I have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist, I prefer the slimmer case profile and overall wear of the older Rolex examples.
Zeitwerk 1st vs 2nd gen reliability/ durability?
Have a milestone coming up in the next 2 years and considering a Zeitwerk.
The first gen trades at 60% of 2nd gen. I really like the hour pusher and power reserve improvement. But not sure those two items justify the price jump.
Can someone explain, how much more durable/ reliable is the 2nd gen movement is. I know the pusher eliminates a lot of the torque issues with the jumping hour.
I rotate through my watches. Thank you.
NWA!
My first Lange. Feels like it will be such a versatile and under the radar piece. As demonstrated here with some Lululemon shorts 😂
My 1st Lange
Finally joined the Lange family!
1815 34mm in rose gold.
I knew this was the one for me the first time I saw it during W&W 2025. There really aren’t many choices for my sub-6 inch wrist, and this one fits perfectly.
Manual wind, 72-hour power reserve, no date.
The 17mm lug width tapering down to a 14mm buckle also makes the watch wear even more elegantly on the wrist.
My only minor issue is the strap sizing. Even though I requested the short strap (105/65), it’s still a bit long for me, so I’ll probably have to look for an alternative strap solution.
Happy to finally be here!
Saw some incredible pieces!
Saw the Lange Zeitwerk Lumen and the 1815 Rattrapante in person — both are incredible.

Lange chronographs
I just realised I hadn’t “explained” my username (no Datograph for now but I know I’ll at some point…).
I could also have choose L1 as I have three but the chronograph mechanisms will always win my heart vs the 3/4 plate…
All-in Zeitwerk, Ultimate Grail or too much?
rough edit of a zeitwerk with the classic digital display + half digital chronograph (the digit inside the seconds dial will count minutes, operated by the extra button), minute repeater, date, moon phase or day/night and power reserve.
Show me your straps
I have been a huge fan of how easy it is for my Saxonia thin to fit any and all occasions simply by swapping the strap.
Looking for more inspiration so please share some of your favorites!
Thoughts on Cabaret?
Looks pretty amazing but the hodinkee article says it wears big for 6.5inch wrist.
Also, previous models that are similar (limited edition, tourbillon, but not hg) seem like they sell for a fraction of the retail price? Not sure if these listings are even remotely accurate. I’m not trying to make money on these watches but want to avoid “losing” substantial amount of value.
Any thoughts?
Edit:
Gosh someone pointed out the misaligned screws on the tourbillon/bridge and I can’t unsee them
At this price level they should have paid more attention to details like that…
Darth vs Onyx vs Stealth Little Lange 1?
What are the differences? Any preference of one compared to the other?
Should I replace my white gold Saxonia thin with one of the above?
Little Lange Onyx
New addition to the collection. Little Lange’s really have a distinct charm of their own. I really like the slightly more compact look.
Boutique vs grey market: how did you buy your Lange?
Curious how people here ended up purchasing their pieces, at retail or grey market.
I'm in the process of deciding on a Lange and the retail vs grey spread is significant enough that it's hard to ignore. My preference is to buy new, and I want to see the watch in person before committing so online or Chrono24 is off the table regardless, and I'd rather not deal with the hassle of returning something if there's an issue.
The grey market is obviously attractive on price, but in practice I'm finding that because Lange sits in a niche that isn't as hype driven as PP or AP, demand is relatively modest and production volumes are low so a lot of grey dealers simply don't carry the references I'm looking at. Which pushes me back toward the boutique anyway.
So I'm wondering, did most of you go through an authorised dealer/boutique, or did you buy grey (online or in-person)?
Reputable London grey dealers?
Hi friends,
I’m interested in a white gold Saxonia thin and I’d like to buy it grey. Any reputable dealers in London you would recommend please and/or things to watch out for?
