36 years old - just started in February 2026. This is a combo of a couple 401ks, a ROTH and a 457b. It’s not much. But I’m pretty proud to cross the $2k threshold!
Mostly in FXAIX and the retirement accounts. I also am in a health space mutual fund called FSPHX that’s done well for me. Keep saving!
36M - started investing in February 2026. Still working thru some debt and cutting back on finances. I made a post that had a great response about 42 days ago. I was at about $1400 in all of my retirement accounts. 42 days later, I’m almost to $2k. This is with very small contributions to my retirement accounts.

You all’s support on my post a couple weeks ago was phenomenal. The positivity and the advice is amazing. In the 11 days since the post, I have also got my 18 yr old set up with a Roth IRA with automated $100 monthly deposits. This group is full of info and folks on the same team! I’ve had some deposits since then as well! I’ve cut some fat from bills as well. Lots of stupid subscriptions and things we just don’t need. Things are looking up. Excited! Let’s go!
36M - feel like I’m way behind. I put $500 into a Roth IRA in February. Without doing anything else for a while, it’s just gone up. Nothing insane. Now i put $20 a month - money is pretty tight at the moment.
I also have a pension - which makes me feel a bit safer - but Im about 4 years from being vested. I have a 401k (no match because of pension) and a 457b. I also have another 401k from a part time job - eventually will be rolled into my full time 401k when i quit. They match, so i put the full amount. Even tho it all sounds good, all of those accounts (besides pension) are represented here. I started them all in February of 2026. Most of this is in FXAIX. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. (We are clearing some debt - in a year or so when it’s cleared, I plan to invest as much as I can!)
