I've just received a text saying my number called someone claiming I was from HMRC and telling them they have committed tax fraud and owed money. I obviously did not make this call and despite me telling this person not to give any details over as I didn't call, they have reported my number to the police? Has my number been spoofed or is the person texting me a scammer?
