Vestaire Collective
I am writing this Text in hope it will find as many people as possible. Be carefull while buying on vestaire. I personally would never buy anything again. So here is my experience:
I bought the Saint Laurent la 5 a 7 in small. It looked great over the pictures, I was texting with the seller normally. Until I mentioned the receipt. I don‘t know if their system didn‘t translate it correctly, but she wrote that she would send the receipt to me because she doesn‘t want to upload anything online. Suprise suprise the bag came, authentification said the bag is real, but no receipt. I messaged her again, she said no, she would not show me the receipt, it‘s personal information. Vestaire only allowed me to send the bag back so they would verify it and as we know, they would again say it‘s real, so they would not admit it was their fault. So here I am sitting with a 1500€ bag that is actually fake.
Then I decided to look through the site, there are a lot of bags like mine which are a new model, where the seller should still have the receipt. I mean if you bought a bag over 10 years ago I understand that you maybe don‘t have it, but I had a Saint Laurent Lou Lou bag which I had over 5 years and I still had the receipt. Than I wrote a few of those sellers, asking if they have a receipt, guess what, everybody wrote the same thing back, no matter which country, no yes or no just „I don‘t show personal Information“.I‘m sorry but I live in Germany and we show always the receipt with stuff like that, because you can easily nowadays hide your Information or crop it out.
I‘m telling you I did a lot of research and I read that vestaire is legit, I see influencers on IG Talking about how they buy stuff from there. I would never again. If you want a newer Model of a bag, if you don‘t get the receipt, don‘t buy it, from any page. I know some prices are tempting. I am not writing this to cancel anything, but to make sure vestaire handels their scamers better. How can it be that someone is selling a new never used Miu Miu bag, with even the paper still on and say they don‘t have the receipt or they don‘t show personal information? And you can easily nowadays find bags that look 1:1 exactly like a real one.
So be careful and I Hope to hear from your experience!
