Nath meat shop - sandalwood
I visited Nath Meat Shop - Sandalwood today and was honestly mortified by what I witnessed regarding food handling.
The same pair of gloves were used to cut and handle raw chicken, answer the store phone, and cash out a customer. The gloves were never changed. After handling the phone, the employee went right back to handling the raw chicken with the exact same gloves. She also picked up the phone again with those gloves and handed it to another employee in the kitchen before continuing to prepare the chicken.
I also noticed that the employee had very long hair that was not properly secured, and it appeared that it could potentially come into contact with the food preparation surface.
I understand that gloves are meant to protect against contamination, but using the same gloves to handle raw chicken, phones, and money without changing them is extremely concerning from a food safety perspective.
I hope management takes this seriously and reinforces proper food handling, glove changing, hand washing, and hair restraint practices. I left feeling very uncomfortable about what I had witnessed.
