Thinking of buying this Q6 buyback
Hello,
I landed on the Q6 as one of the only EV SUV options that has faster charging, decent range, and isn't a Tesla. (I had earlier ruled out the Kia/Hyundai/Genesis family due to the widely reported ICCU issues.) I found a used Q6 locally, and took it for a short test drive, and really liked it. I was thinking about making an offer, when I did some searching, and found this forum. After reading many posts, I'm starting to feel like I might be crazy to even think about buying this car. It has only 300 miles, premium plus trim, $52,000 asking price. Here is what the Carfax shows:
So, the new owner brought it in for service less than three months after buying it, and between October 2025 and February 2026 only 11 miles were added to the odometer. Then three months later it was bought back, still with no additional miles put on it.
I'm asking the dealer that is selling it (a non-Audi dealer) if they have detailed service records, more information on the buyback, whether the latest software updates have been applied, and if they have a return window if the car turns out to be a disaster. It still has it's warranty.
Part of me is thinking - this is a great deal! They might have updated the software, replaced faulty components, and it could be great. And part of me is thinking I might be making a huge mistake and beginning months of painful visits to the Audi dealer waiting for fixes.
Thoughts? Other questions I should ask? I can go back and do another test drive - anything in particular I should check out?
