This is kind of my second serious attempt at thread painting, following the patterns and instructions from a Trish Burr book i got from the library.
I didn't use the threads indicated in the book since I didn't want to buy new ones, so I matched the colors a bit by intuition.
I think I improved with the long short stitch, but i feel some areas (like the big leaf) the stitches may be a bit too much at random 🤔
I took up embroidery recently, and i finished my more or less first serious piece (i did some other stuff that was simpler before this). And while I like the results quite a lot, i found long-short stitch to be more difficult than expected.
The darker petals are done with satin stitch, and the rest with long-short. After a disaster petal (the one on the top left) i checked Trish Burr tutorial, and I think I improved a bit in the last 2, but I still think it's not looking as flat and polished as it should.
