Someone else is selling my bag on Vestiaire
I made a Vestiaire account to try and sell a Gucci bag, and whilst I was on the app I searched for Marni bags, as I have a Marni bag in the consignment store 只二 in China, currently on sale at a v v low price as I keep lowering it cos it isn’t selling - I was curious how much Marni bags are listed for on VC.
Lo and behold a bag that looks just like mine shows up. I check my listing and the photos are identical. I look at the sellers account and find all their bags are sourced from 只二 - they just take all the photos and then presumably purchase the bag if they sell it on VC.
My question is - are they allowed to do that? I’m kinda pissed - that Marni bag is still mine - I can ask for it back anytime if I give up on selling it. I have upped the price of my bag for now so if it does suddenly sell on Vestiaire they’re at least not making a massive profit off of my bag - it’s listed for about 4 times the price I am selling it for. The location for all their listings is set as UK even though all their bags are at the 只二 warehouses in China, available for purchase at a much lower price lol.
TLDR: can sellers list bags they don’t own? And if they can’t are support likely to do anything about it?
