It arrived after 3 months. Now, the issue is the number of posts about potential problems, which is discouraging me from installing Canvas. Besides, the printer is working perfectly right now.
What else do I need to consider? Can I install Open Centauri or a patched version of Cosmos? I'll look for the known issues section.
It would be awful to install it and then start having problems.
This is my first time posting in this sub and I wanted to share my experience installing this hotend.
To be honest, I didn't have any problems with the stock hotend, but it fell short in my opinion.
And I wanted something more reliable to be able to print with abrasive or technical filaments.
To be honest, before buying it I researched how to disassemble it and thought that the problems other users were having were due to lack of experience or carelessness. I was incredibly surprised when I almost ended up ripping off the hotend connector next to the thermistor. That connector is literally not attached to the board or it has a bad design. In the end, I had to grab some pliers and hold the plastic of the board to be able to remove the connector.
In the end it worked out well and I already did the PID and the auto-leveling. The first layer came out spectacular and it's really an upgrade that I'm very happy with.
The filament is Creality PETG-CR. The next test, in two months, will be with the canvas installed when it arrives, I highly recommend this hotend. Maybe when I get some nylon or ABS and a 0.6 nozzle I'll clear up the rest of my doubts.
Could someone with a pro account maybe download me a single file i already created there? just dont see myself to get a full subscription just for one model, would highly appreciate it!
