Hi there

We have been on the coast for about 7 years now. It’s still not home. We have lived across two areas, beach then hinterland, now back to beach.

We still can’t deal with the humidity. Cafes and restaurants are sub standard compared to other Regional areas like Newcastle, NSW Central Coast, even the Gold Coast!

And the jobs. The job market is so narrow.

We don’t feel settled and can’t figure out why. It all just feels so…..boring.

Sorry to the locals. I do think the beaches and greenery are wonderful. But unless you’re a mad surfer or don’t notice humidity, there is little to draw me in.

So anyway, has anyone moved home? Even after 7 years? How did it work out?
