Sawakazuma SRS13 Petty Knife 150 mm (5.9") Rosewood Handle
Anyone know if this is a Takamura OEM? I've seen that circle logo with the triangle in it on the Takamura R2/SG2 line. This is the knife in question:
It says it's SRS13, which is in the same class of HSPS as R2/SG2. I did try to do some digging and found this comment in another thread, which made me think it very well could be:
"It is Sawakazuma. They are a wholesaler. They pretty much sourced their knives from echizen. You can see some familiar knives from their catalog."
The appearance is exactly that of the Takamura 150mm Petty.

No idea why the URL says 170mm Santoku in it, but the SKU is SKU: TK-S2-GU210RW. Buy at your own risk.
I bit the bullet and worked with a proxy Reddit user on r/internationalshopper to get the 24x31x11 cm White Oak stand out of Sweden from Kitchenlab into my home since it seems to be gone everywhere else and not restocking any time soon. Eatingtools seems to have it too, but for whatever reason they only made smaller version at 26x17x11cm in their collaboration with Piotr, and as we all know, one can never have enough space for their knife collection (though I'm going to try to keep mine in check and limit it to what the stand can hold for a while).
I haven't completed my knife collection yet, so I won't try to cram a SOTC post into this thread. This is just a Piotr the Bear appreciation post. This subreddit peaked my interest in Piotr's work as there is often high praise for his work related to the magnetic leather & wood strips he makes that many have mounted on their walls.
I didn't see a lot of posts demoing this stand possibly due its scarcity and people feeling strongly about the price, so here are some pictures. I applied some Larchwood Green hemp oil + beeswax wood conditioner that I got along with my cutting board (just in case anyone is wondering why it looks wet in some places). Hopefully Piotr does some restocks soon. I did try reaching out to him via his website before going to these lengths to get the stand, but he never responded.
I wanted to order a Piotr the Bear knife block from https://www.kitchenlab.eu/en/ so I sent u/Inevitable-Cap133 an inquiry about doing so on April 19th around 9pm. Inevitable-Cap133 responded within a few hours on April 20th at around 3am my time. The the product was then ordered the same day by 7am.
Even more amazingly, Inevitable-Cap133 picked the product up personally and then sent me high quality photos of it on April 22nd. It was then shipped to me on April 23rd and just arrived today, April 30th, carefully packed and exactly as depicted.
All I can say is, WOW! I really appreciate the extra effort. Inevitable-Cap133 was courteous, responsive and did everything in a timely manner. I look forward to more experiences with you in the future. Thank you so much.
