Eine ältere Verkäuferin hat mich gestern gedutzt an der Kasse und ich bin Ü30. Sehe noch jünger aus als mein Alter, aber das war die Bestätigung wieder einmal.

I’ve just read that low iron levels can trigger depressive episodes, anxiety disorders and so on. Well, I’ve been on a course of supplements for the past three weeks to treat my ferritin and vitamin D levels (both at 9). I’ve been struggling for years, and smoking has masked a lot of it. Now that I’ve been smoke-free for four months and my levels have been discovered, I’m completely emotionally drained. Everything is too much for my nervous system. Anxiety disorders such as fear of loss, fear of commitment, depressive moods, etc. keep cropping up in episodes. Especially in combination with PMS. Of course, I notice all the other physical symptoms as well, but I feel like things get better for an hour or two every now and then. My question to anyone who suffers similarly (unfortunately) and has a partner: how do you manage your relationship during such phases? I feel so helpless, trapped in my own head, and I can see that my partner wants to help, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult for him. Because he can’t really help, or rather, just being there is what matters most. But I don’t want to put such a strain on him or our relationship. Do you have any experiences or suggestions?
