Upcoming earthquake?
English translation below. What do we think of this? I know there have been so many tiny little earthquakes lately, but for them to predict that a big one is going to be coming up in the next few days sounds pretty serious....

⚠️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
Dear students, teaching, and administrative staff:
The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI-UNA), together with the National Seismological Network (RSN:UCR-ICE), informs that the tectonic plates of the Central Pacific region are being studied, specifically the interaction between the Cocos Plate and the Caribbean Plate, off the coast of the province of Puntarenas.
Scientific analyzes indicate that these plates currently present an elevated and sustained level of seismic activity, which significantly increases the probability that a earthquake of great magnitude or high intensity will occur in the coming days.
This event could generate numerous aftershocks and, depending on its location and depth, could trigger a tsunami in the coastal areas of the Central Pacific.
For this reason, we urge you to stay informed, remain alert, and take the necessary preventive measures to ensure your safety and that of your loved ones.
🔔 RECOMMENDATIONS
Get information only through official channels of the UCR, the CNE, and competent institutions.
Review and update your family emergency plan.
Have an emergency backpack ready for at least 72 hours (water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlight, radio, documents, etc.).
Identify evacuation routes in your home, place of work, or study.
In case of a strong earthquake, follow safety protocols: Drop, cover, and hold on.
If a tsunami warning is issued, evacuate immediately to high areas or move away from the coast.
