I really thought the “2026 Summer of NewJeans” campaign from a month ago was meant to hype everyone up for some kind of comeback. Now it all seems pretty pointless.

The girls are still stuck in the dungeon. I can’t see Hive releasing them, while they’re debuting another girl group at the same time. The new girl group is reportedly debuting on August 24.

I hope Hive isn't planning something sinister, like having the girls make a comeback at the same time a new group debuts, just to create drama and make them more popular. Our girls would get so much hate in that case.

What do you think ? Do you still expect a NewJeans comeback this year, or has that ship basically sailed ?
