Some of my interests are:

1. 2D topdown story games. I especially like OMORI, but I haven't gotten into the community as much as I'd like to, and I still have to replay the game to see more stuff that I missed. I'd also like to finish Undertale and play Deltarune eventually
2. Evanescence, especially their pre-Fallen stuff
3. Playing random ultra-niche servers on Minecraft, and sometimes even helping them make it better
4. Programming, but I'm not particularly good at it. I primarily make PaperMC plugins in Java

I have a friend group that likes story games, but I don't always feel included, so I'm primarily looking for friends who like story games, especially OMORI

I might seem "dry", that's because sometimes I don't know what to say or ask and I'm trying to work on that. Also my Reddit notifications don't work, so I might not see your comment right away

I like listening to music (Evanescence mainly, especially their pre-Fallen stuff, but my music taste is weird; I also seem to like some synth pop music)

I like watching movies (favorites are The Wizard of Oz, as well as Drive (primarily for the soundtrack, it's just that good))

If you suggest a song and the genre is something I'm interested in, I'll probably listen to it and maybe even listen to the whole album if I like it that much

I like programming sometimes

I like to talk to people, but fair warning, I'm kind of bad at it

I like going outside

I live in a fairly rural town in the US and I don't go to in-person school so meeting friends in real life is basically impossible. So I'm looking for some online friends who are nice and will spend time with me (talking, playing games, maybe even watching movies, etc.) and won't be like some of my other friends who seem to just push me away whenever I try to actually spend time with them

Please don't talk about discourse (political discourse, LGBT discourse) around me. I'm trying to distance myself from things that make me sad or annoyed (to clarify, LGBT people don't make me sad or annoyed, it's the discourse that does)

For friends, I mostly prefer other girls around my age (15-19), but that's not really a hard rule

I like music (pre-Fallen Evanescence mainly), talking to people (though I'd like to get better at that), and going outside. I'm just wondering if there are online communities (like subreddits) with people at least kind of close to my age (17). It's okay if those communities are broad, they don't have to be about anything specific. I just wanna know which ones might be good, or how to find them. Thank you
