this is what happened. .sai2 seems to be fine though. Luckily, I have recovery files. PSD would seemingly save properly but closing and reopening will end up corrupted.

I recorded this by using 2 floating views. One is for the recording (use record window) and the other for actually painting. With bandicam, I can float the window I'm actually drawing on right on top of the recording window with no worries. (make sure to turn off cursor though). My only issue is that bandicam pauses on its own if I don't touch the canvas for a minute and doesn't restart no matter how much I smack the resume button. booo.

I'll take the smaller video size any day though. almost 7 hours of footage but only 52.9mb with variable frame rate av1 codec!? Edited with kdenlive since it allows me to edit without transcoding into huge files despite yelling at me every time I import a clip. lol. (i also just realized I missed a clip after I exported a slower one. goddangit.)
