A little rough looking since I made it at my 6-year old nephew’s house with him as a distraction constant supervisor. 🤣 He requested a Tiger Shark Monster Truck cake and I did my best to deliver!
Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and brownie tires. Fins made of cardboard wrapped in foil before frosting. It had some straws in it for support but couldn’t stop the lean. He was very excited once it all came together.
My friend moved halfway across the US and I’m flying out to visit in a couple weeks which coincides with her kid’s birthday. I’ve always made elaborate cakes for him so I thought I could make something while I’m there.
Problem is my friend doesn’t bake so I’m going to have to bring basically everything with me. Was going to make the frosting at home (since she doesn’t have a mixer) and put in checked luggage along with basically everything else I’d need.
Obviously I’ll be making a packing list but has anyone else done this and have tips on things they wish they had brought or prepared?
