Hi guys. Just wanted to check in if its a good idea before blocking off my trem with playing cards. Mark the excess and cut the cards into half breadth wise to create a snug fit. I basically want to block it both ways and turn my strandberg fusion nx into a fixed bridge. After finding the right amount of cards, my idea is to secure it with tape and just block off the trem so that it can't be dove or pulled back.

- Is this a bad idea?

- Do I keep or remove the springs once it is secure

There are no luthiers near my area. Please don't suggest taking it to a professional as there are none.

I purchased my first strandberg Boden fusion NX

I got it second hand and the guy before me used .7 gauge strings.

I like using .11s and I am wondering if the jump in gauge will cause tuning or intonation issues. Or is the guitar solid enough that changing the gauge won't affect it at all and I can just go about my
Day? A shop for setup and maintainence is really far away and I'd like to avoid it if possible.

Preferably full body, but looking for daily mobility and stretching routines to incorporate into my life.
