How Frequently Do You Think Apple Will Update Siri’s LLM?

Do you think Apple will only update the underlying foundation models once a year with new releases of its operating systems or do you think they will update the Apple Foundation Models more frequently?

AI models move at the speed of light. In the span of a year, there are countless breakthroughs and improvements. I know Apple isn’t going to be on the bleeding edge of AI model technology, but will we always be a year+ behind? I know that none of us know for sure, but I’m interested in what you all predict will happen.

2026 Backyard Baseball Night Artwork Album

Link to full album

Hey, all. I recently posted on this subreddit, asking if anyone had images of the original artwork used on Backyard Baseball night. I received the following images. I cropped the background out of the images and uploaded them to a gallery. I know it might seem silly, but I really wanted to make sure to save this little, obscure piece of Cardinals history.

I could probably use AI or some kind of editing tricks to clean them up further, but here they are in their original forms. These are iPhone shots of the jumbotron taken from section 450.

Backyard Baseball Night

On Backyard Baseball nights, they make edits of the players to look like they are BB characters. Could someone at the game take a picture of the scoreboard and capture the backyard baseball character portraits?

Inside Look at Busch: Screen Test

I was in a building overlooking Busch, and this morning, they had a neat checkerboard pattern on the board. I would ASSUME this is the IT department checking the interlocked LED panels in case any need replaced.

Fun Detail: P3R Intro MP3 Track Length is Accurate

I have this album on my iPod and I was curious if the track played in the intro is accurate. It is, but in an interesting way.

Intro (1:43): A “bubbly transition sound” (best way to describe it) plays before the actual track does

Album Version (1:42): The song immediately plays.

Sooooo, that means the animators didn’t just grab the metadata for the song when making the intro animation. They factored in the transition sound effect and made a new, custom time on the in-game MP3 player.

I love little details like this. ☺️

Nostalgic iPod Library Management

I made a little iPod management computer from an old MacBook Pro. It already had an aftermarket SSD and a RAM upgrade. I reinstalled the OS it shipped with, Mac OS X 10.7 ("Lion"), and it’s genuinely really snappy.

It only has access to local network resources (my network’s Time Capsule), doesn’t get on the wider web, and has a single job: store and sync music to my iPod. Not mixing Apple Music or Apple ID logins with iTunes makes the whole process so so so much less stressful.

Setting this up has been a glimpse into a simpler time of my youth. 🥹 I just wanted to share my Saturday project.

I want to enjoy my new Phillips SPH9500s out on my balcony, but these are my first open backs and I’m not sure if it’s safe to take them outside with humidity and other outdoor contaminants like pollen.

Many discussions talking about this are talking about sound leakage or sweat/rain. I’m just talking about standard, sitting on my butt on a deck chair in outdoor air with my iPod and open backs.
