Need SolidWorks tutorial or reference file (.sldprt) for T-38 Talon / F-5 Tiger

Hey guys,

I am currently modeling a T-38 Talon in SolidWorks with surfaces. Getting the rounded fuselage and transitions clean without running into surface pinches is a pain.

Does anyone have a good tutorial for this, or maybe a native .sldprt file (T-38 or F-5) lying around? Just want to check the rollback bar to see how the patch layout and boundary surfaces were structured.

Tutorials, clean GrabCAD links, or workflow tips are all welcome. Cheers!

Hi all,

I’m modeling a T-38 Talon in SolidWorks using surfaces.

I found an F-16 tutorial to get the basics down, but the T-38’s fuselage requires a completely different surface layout. Does anyone know a good tutorial for the T-38 or F-5 Tiger?

Alternatively, a native .sldprt file would be huge. I just want to use the rollback bar to reverse-engineer the feature tree.

Aeon Mira 9S or Omtech RF Quantum

I am looking to expand my leather engraving bussiness with a larger lasercutter. I mainly cut and engrave synthetic PU leather sheets that are 90cm by 60cm and 2mm thick. I have used 3 XTool S1 lasercutters (with smaller PU sheets) as a start but now it is time to upgrade.

I've done my research and the machines that fit my budget and needs are the Aeon Mira 9S RF version or the Omtech RF Quantum.

I could find little to nothing when searching online about the Omtech RF Quantum and noticed that their customer service can be poor which is a red flag for me.

The Aeon Mira 9S looks more promising. I have scheduled a test in a demo room to look if I need a RF30W or a RF60W.

Is there a brand/model that I am over-looking and do you have any experience with Omtech or Aeon? Please let me know, it would help a lot.
