How to use data for a high handicapper

Hi all,

I have just recieved and set up my sqaure HE and im very happy so far, to note ive been playing for 6 months and im currently a 28 handicap

Ive watched plenty of YT videos now on sim data and I think I understand most of it, my main focus at the moment is hitting the ball straight as when I go lower than a 6 iron I start to slice

My question is should I mainly focuse on club path and if the face is open or closed, then hitting ball central of the face? If this is correct im guessing hit perfect on both is fairly unrealistic so what should I be aiming to consistently hit? Is below 1 on both good and realistic?

Any help and advice on this would be much appreciated as the videos I watch do a great job of explaining what the data means and how you can move onto more advanced techniques but not many vids are made for a beginner in mind

Thanks
