Catherine is one of the biggest examples of how out of touch from reality influencers become. I used to enjoy her content years ago and I don’t keep up with every detail on her page, but she’s just become a snotty person the past few years.
Her video tonight about having to attend a normal grocery store in a small town was so tone deaf with everything going on right now. She’s filling her cart up while on vacation with whatever she wants (ribeyes, bags of produce, chips), not looking at a single price tag, and complaining about how horrible the grocery store is and it is just a normal grocery store for most Americans. I also find it so gross because an actual grocery store in accessible distance is not a thing for many Americans and is a privilege as it is. Sadly, the more impoverished areas in America go without easily accessible fresh, healthy, affordable food (both country and urban areas) as it is so for her to be in a small mountain town making fun of their little grocery store is so nasty to me. It’s especially crazy work when most people are struggling to just live a simple day to day life no matter where they live.
