Suzuki Saddle Bags for GSX8 TT
I recently installed Suzuki’s official set of saddlebags on my 8TT. I didn’t find much information for the 8TT online or even about these official saddlebags so I thought I’d share some thoughts.
PROS
- They’re pretty well built, you can tell the quality is top notch.
- Easy to install, almost as easy as IKEA.
- I just used 3 tools: a simple 13 mm wrench / 4mm Allen key / a small and cheap ratchet wrench with 8mm and 13mm sockets.
- I was able to fit a 16 inch MacBook Pro, which is great for commutes. You do have to expand the bag and it fits a bit awkwardly, but it fits.
CONS
- As far as I can tell you’re not able to link the saddlebags under the seat, which means you’ll have to remove them at every stop since they could be easily stolen. Unless you use some kind of lock.
- You’ll need a small lock for the zippers themselves too.
I’ll make and edit with an update after using it for a while with some thoughts.
