Wild at IAD
Diverted to CLE on UA 804. Refueled and landed at IAD but sitting on the tarmac for >2 hrs and counting. Lightning means no ramp crew can safely guide us to the gate. Even when the ramp reopens, it’ll be a minute to unclog the congestion.
We departed a few hours late out of HND, and with the diversion and the lightening, it’s been a very long flight. However the comms are frequent and folks are patient. It’s very obvious how severe these storms are. Hope folks in this situation are holding up ok.
Plus side: the Japanese meal
