Started my first Bowman Chrome 1st Auto collection — what do you guys prefer?
Hey everyone!
I’m pretty new to the hobby and recently decided to start focusing on Bowman Chrome 1st autos, especially numbered ones when I can afford them.
Here’s the beginning of my collection so far. Nothing super crazy yet, but I’m having a lot of fun learning the hobby and prospecting.
I was curious about your opinions:
Do you personally prefer Bowman Chrome 1st autos over other cards like Bowman Chrome rookie cards (RCs) that aren’t 1sts? Or even over Topps flagship rookie autos?
I’m also wondering about something more specific:
Would you rather own a non-numbered Bowman Chrome 1st auto, or a numbered Bowman Chrome rookie auto that isn’t a 1st, like a /25 or /50?
I feel like the “1st” logo has something special long term, but numbered cards also feel more rare and collectible to me, so I’d really like to hear what more experienced collectors think.
