How do you know what to do with your life?

I'm honestly kind of lost right now.

I got a degree in a field that doesn't seem to be hiring and am now going back to school for a second bachelors in another field that I'm not really thrilled about. I've never had much of an interest in anything career - oriented, yet I'm always seeing people who are thrilled to be working their dream jobs or internships and look forward to the future.

Sorry this is super depressing but I'm wondering, how can this be acheived? lol. Any and all answers are super appreciated.

Also worth noting that I've had struggles with depression for the past few years and that definitely hasn't helped in figuring out what I want out of life.

How social is the Long Trail?

Hey y'all, I've got some aspirations of hiking the long trail in the near future since I have some time on my hands, but can't get anyone to go with me in the time frame that I'm hoping to go in (late August - early September).

I'm a little wary of hiking alone for so long and would definitely appreciate some company at the end of the day, especially in the more remote regions in northern Vermont. With that said, I'm curious what people's experiences have been like on the LT, is it a pretty social trail? Easy to meet people? Are people friendly? Do people randomly strike up friendships and start hiking together like they would on the AT?

Anyways, lots of questions. Any answers would be super appreciated. Thanks :)

Edit: Thanks everyone for replying! def feeling a bit better abt things now haha
