Blue Book application - declaring professional experience

Hey everyone!

I have some questions about declaring professional experiences.

  1. I am currently employed - would my Employment contract be a sufficient backing document? Do I also need payslips and whatnot is also listed in the guide? Also, my contract doesn't have an end date in it, only the start date. I guess I am supposed to list the end date of the application period as the last day?

  2. That would make my current job shorter than my former job - does that mean I should list my former job first, because of the longest duration?

  3. In what language should I write the name of my position and my employer? English? The language of the country where I workes? I worked in 2 EU, non-english speaking countries.

I find the official clarification a bit confusing.

Thank you:)

Blue Book traineeship as a medical doctor - what DGs are relevant?

Hello everyone!

I am applying to the BB, and as the title says, I am wondering about the relevance of my competences for the various DGs of the Comission. The question moght sound silly, as it might seem I didn't do my research or am unaware of the obvious (SANTE, HERA), but my problem is the following two things:

  1. When researching a DG, I can't seem to find more specific tasks and work of specific units inside of the DG. For example, I know that SANTE A.1 deals with antimicrobial resistance - but what and how I cannot seem to be able to find.

  2. I guess there might be medically adjacent work in other DGs as well, but because of the aforementioned cluelesness about the specifics of narrower organization and day-to-day work, I am not familiar with it.

I would really appreciate if you could share your experiences and/or point me in the direction of interesting DGs and units where I as a young doctor with some clinical and scientific experience, as well as with years of experience in the NGO sector (youth work, education) would be a good candidate.

Thank you in advance:)

Cheers!

How can I contribute?

Hello everyone!

I am a doctor of medicine, 27 years old, European, and need your advice.

Almost since I can remember, I wanted humans to achieve biological immortality. The biggest burden on my heart and soul has always been the paralyzing notion of imminent death. I wanted to help in the fight against death. That's the main reason why I studied medicine.

But, owing to various factors, I have inertly ended on an expected career trajectory of a medical doctor - working in clinical medicine, which I do realize is not my true calling.

I want to work on achieving immortality, but am a bit stuck.

I guess my best shot is to get in touch with relevant researchers and try to do a PhD with them. But maybe there is something else as well?

Does anyone here have experience with being an MD and working in life extension? What is it that you do?

What labs and researchers could I join for a PhD, or whatever?

I am open to all suggestions.

Thank you:)

Pozdrav svima!

Može li mi netko linkati klip, ili barem reći u kojoj je epizodi scena iz Zakona u kojoj Stojan Matavulj govori: "Ljiljana, nećemo si lagati, vi ste jedna više nego solidna pička."?

Hvala:)
