RE6 Leon could have been one of my favorites but I hated how they wrote him in this game regarding Ada. His relationships with Helena, Sherry, Hunnigan is good and he is hot, though.

Since they made him married, I feel like Capcom is going to give him a kid too.

Capcom could have made Ada the next villain after Wesker died. This would actually give Ada her own agency and do something in the plot other than being Leon's plot armor. Also with Leon's past with her, it would make their relationship way more interesting than their usual cat-mouse. Leon-Ada has a potential to rival Chris-Wesker and I feel like Capcom squandered it for a romantic relationship.

Not talking about RE9's plot, whether you like it or not is up to you. But as a character arc for Leon, it was decent for Resident Evil. They made Grace an echo for RE2 Leon in his innocence and survivor's guilt and have him connected to her. He faced his survivor's guilt in this game by saving a young reflection of himself and actually ending the last of Umbrella himself. At the end, he feels so much lighter because he feels like his life was worth something.

Was it perfect? No. But it is so much better than what RE6 did for him. I don't like the fact that RE6 made him pull a gun on Chris because he didn't want Ada killed. Even RE2R Leon pulled his gun on Ada as soon as he realized what she was trying to do. The character they wrote would not put above Ada over justice. If Ada was in RE9, I feel like writers would do something to undermine his narrative.
