Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Novation Circuit Rhythm and I’m hoping someone here has experienced the same thing.
I’m trying to move sounds/samples onto my Circuit Rhythm using Novation Components, but after my MacBook updated, Components no longer detects the device. It just says “No product connected” or keeps waiting for a product.
The Circuit Rhythm itself seems fine. It is plugged in, turned on, and it boots normally with all the lights coming on like usual. The problem seems to be that the MacBook is not detecting it properly over USB.
What I’ve tried/checked so far:
Circuit Rhythm is plugged in and turned on
The Circuit boots normally and lights up like usual
Tried opening Novation Components in the browser
Checked System Report → USB on macOS
The Mac only shows the USB buses, but I do not see “Circuit Rhythm” or “Novation” listed anywhere
Tried going into the advanced setup / Easy Start thing, but I didn’t see a clearly dark red Note button like some guides mention
Components still says no product is connected
So it seems like the Circuit itself is working, but the Mac is not recognizing it as a USB/MIDI device at all.
Could this be caused by:
macOS blocking USB accessories after an update?
a USB-C cable that only charges but doesn’t transfer data?
a bad adapter/hub?
something with Easy Start/MSD mode?
needing to reset MIDI settings on macOS?
a firmware or Components issue?
Has anyone fixed this before? What exact steps should I try?
I’m on a MacBook and using a Novation Circuit Rhythm. Any help would be really appreciated.
