Major Baggage Delay Help
My wife and I were on a recent (7/2) Lufthansa flight from JFK to Frankfurt to Tirana. We checked our bags (one checked and two carry ons) in New York and the bags haven’t reached after 40ish hours.
There was a big issue on our flight in New York where apparently half the bathrooms on the plane didn’t work and so half of the people were removed from the flight. We suspect that during that shuffle, our bags were misplaced, though we were not from the initial flight.
We reached out to Lufthansa and marked them as delayed in the portal, but they still aren’t showing up as having been found. We can see from our AirTags that the bags are still at JFK. Does anyone have any experience with this problem and advice on what to do?
We would love to talk to a real person at Lufthansa that can help, at least to tell them that we know our bags at JFK, but aren’t sure what the best way to do that is. Should we ask a family member to go to JFK to talk them?
Needless to say, we are pretty stranded without basically any of our things and our plans here are all screwed up.
