Anxious about bone loss and recurrent interdental caries - Would love a look at my panoramic X-ray!
Hi everyone,
I got this panoramic X-ray done today during a routine check-up. I have some dental anxieties and would highly appreciate a professional eye on a couple of specific concerns:
Periodontal health & Bone loss: I am quite terrified of having periodontal disease or losing bone support. Does my overall bone height look relatively stable, or do you notice any areas of concern?
Recurrent interdental cavities: I have a history of multiple interdental restorations (fillings). I am very anxious about recurrent decay developing underneath them.
I know panos have limitations with tooth overlapping in the posterior areas, but does anything stand out as highly suspicious?
I currently don't have any major symptoms (no severe pain or bleeding), but I'd love to know your thoughts or if there are specific things I should ask my dentist to verify with bitewings or periodontal probing during my clinical exam.
Thank you so much for your time and help!
