So I got matcha from MK, shipping to the US, received $61 fees to pay, sent DHL email to dispute duties. They disputed the green tea duties but they are still charging me $28 FDA/OPL fee and $1.34 regulatory charges.
I asked to explain what these charges are exactly for and this the response I received.
Not the first time I’ve seen these permits & licenses fees here. What I haven’t seen is their successful dispute.
Someone said these are if your package was pulled aside because of some info missing? I thought MK are good with providing all the necessary docs and info, since a lot of Americans ordering from them. But I guess not?
Though Google says this $28 fee is for “DHL filling FDA Prior Notice on your behalf (because matcha is food)”. But if it is so, isn’t MK supposed to fill this form before shipping the order?
And the main question how to dispute these $28 or there’s no way?
