Submitting table as image <440 pixels wide

Hello,

I am trying to submit my article for publication. Unfortunately, the journal asks for any tables to be submitted as images "provided as 72 - 300 dpi; pre-sized .BMP, .GIF, .JPG, or .PNG images only, with a maximum width of 440 pixels (no limit on length)."

I have tried exporting my table from excel to pdf, jpg, or png, and then resizing but no matter what I try, the image of the requested size ends up unreadable.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this requirement while keeping my table-figure as readable?

Dog physical/emotional needs as a sole owner?

Hi,

Almost 1 year ago I inherited a dog from my father. Overall we have done somewhat well, and have established a lot of our routines over the past year.

I live alone (with my dog) in an apartment. I work and study, so unfortunately I have to be out of the home for about 11 hours a day on average on work days. Our routine currently consists of me walking him for 40 minutes 3 times a day + a person I hired from Rover app walking him for 30 minutes in the afternoon while I am at work (he loves walks, it's his favourite activity ever).
Other than walks, I try to make his life better by giving him puzzles, treats he loves, and in general spending time with him (e.g. if I'm watching TV or reading we are both on the couch together, etc).

I have always struggled with depression and have never had a big social life or outside hobbies. Recently I have started to get into shape and start dating as well as spend some time with friends.

However, whenever I have to leave the house (other than when I have to be at work/school) I feel so guilty for leaving him alone, because he already spends many hours a day alone, and doesn't have anyone else to be with. I usually try to go for runs for 30-60 minutes per day and rarely go out with friends, but every time I go running or with friends, I feel horrible and constantly have to fight the urge to return home as soon as possible for my dog.

There are some possible solutions to make things better (1. I will finish school in 2-3 years which will considerably cut down on the hours I am not home, 2. Once I finish school I intend to move to a lower COL area and get a house with a yard and get another dog so he's not alone when I'm not home) but unfortunately at this time I don't think I can afford them.

Now I love my dog, he loves me and he is the only family I got, so this post isn't intended to complain about him. I am not sure what my question is precisely, but I guess I wanted to get other peoples' opinions on this and see if anyone else struggles with the same feelings.

Advice on whether to continue to purse?

Hello,

I am a male in 20s in the Southeastern US, I have been on Hinge for about a year and have had decent success in matching with people and going on first dates. Unfortunately, no relationships so far (my goal is long-term relationship only).

Recently I matched with this girl who is of similar age, is very attractive to me from the photos, and otherwise seems to have qualities that I care about (e.g. hard-working, good relationship with family, not very religious, doesn't want kids, etc) - that in my experience can be rather rare. All this to say, I like her from her Hinge profile and definitely would love to meet her in person. I usually try to meet within the same week to avoid wasting our times and also in my experience if we don't meet soon we never meet.

We have been texting for a few days; I suggested a date idea (based on one of her prompts) and she said she's too busy (she's working 2 jobs, with no days off, but Sundays only works half days) this weekend and we could do it next weekend. We agreed to do a video call this Sunday instead.

Today she told me things are very busy at work and she might have to work a full day and might not be able to do the video call on Sunday.

I am wondering: Does this mean she's not interested enough or does it mean she's genuinely too busy?

a. I have personally worked long days and weeks, but have definitely never worked 7 days a week, so I don't even know how a person would realistically feel about calling or going on a date if they had this kind of schedule. On one hand I'd like to think (and in my experience this has been true) that if you like someone enough it would make you want to see them or talk with them eve if you're tired. On the other hand, like I said I've never been in her shoes.

b. If she's really interested but too busy to even find time to call this weekend, then what does this say for the future? I can't expect to quit her job(s) and not being able to talk with or see someone I like is not the kind of relationship I would want to have.

Has anyone been in a similar situation (either from my point of view or from the girl's)?
