Hey, high school student here.
If you stir a cup of coffee in space, does the coffee’s motion eventually transfer angular momentum to the spacecraft itself, even if the cup is just sitting inside the spacecraft? What if its floating in microgravity?
I find it crazy how messaging apps turn any short string of numbers (like the time [1700](tel:1700)) into a phone hyperlink.
No one uses those, as far as I'm aware.. and even if they do, it's easy to just copy into your phone by typing it out, you really don't need to save on a few clicks. It's been annoying me for ages
EDIT: It actually seems Whatsapp handles this best out of all messaging apps. I just checked again, and the issue works for Instagram and LinkedIn, but not for Whatsapp. Numbers like 2500 (not valid times) are linked, but Whatsapp is actually the only one which doesn't link times such as 1700. Interesting, because Meta also owns Insta...
I've had this issue on all of my watches so far - from the forerunner 245 to the 965 and even an old vivosport, I've always had issues with sleep, steps and other data being spontaneously deleted when flying form Europe the the states.
Is it really that difficult to fix? I would assume they can just track the data in one specific time zone... It leads to gaps in data as well.
EDIT: When you fly and your time goes back by a few hours, new data overrides the old data. When you fly ahead, you leave a gap where no data was recorded. This was what I meant. I know other people with the same issues. Thanks for the replies
