Should I pay off my credit card this pay period?

I get paid this Thursday. Should I pay off my credit card? I owe $3k and that’s how much I get paid this Friday. I’ll have 200 dollars cash for emergencies and I’d have to wait til next pay period to fund my emergency fund. I just don’t want to incur interest on my credit card. We shall see.

Am I gonna be okay with my current financial status?

I have a sense that I’m going to be OK but I’d like to get other people’s opinion. I just turned 50 and I only have 250 K in my 401 and I’m starting to contribute max starting this year. I make 120 K per year and I’m saving 2K every month to my HYSA. I don’t have a mortgage and I spend 3K monthly for food in utilities.

I have an extra 10 K annually to splurge for trips and other stuff.

What can I do different so I can retire at 60 or in 10 years I don’t mind paying my own insurance for two years until I can claim Social Security and then another three years to get into Medicare.
