Most people mistake dangerous existential threats for temporary fluctuations. Standard prediction models assume history repeats itself, but unprecedented crises like climate change introduce Knightian uncertainty. This means the systemic rules of our planet are actively shifting, rendering historical data useless.

Society continues to treat existential threats like routine market dips. In reality, humanity is rapidly marching toward an absorbing barrier, a mathematical point of no return. Once the system crosses this threshold, total collapse becomes permanent and irreversible.

The terrifying reality is that humanity will not see the final breakdown coming until it is already too late to act.

Investors for Paris Compliance was created in 2021 to ensure Canadian companies stuck to their voluntarily announced climate pledges. After 5 years, they've called it quits, realizing their hopes were doomed. Id argue they had no hope of success from the start. We exist in a system that prioritizes short term profits over long time survival. There was never any way those companies would stick to their pledges.

Without regulation, corporate behavior is inevitable. And down the toilet civilization goes, despite everyone knowing better.

But this is us. Most people living in the West belong to the global top 10%. The middle class lifestyle (yes, the one that has been fading for decades now) is underwritten by climate destruction around the world.

The impending super el nino, combined with US drought and global fertilizer shortages threatens to squeeze humanity late 2026/2027. We are on the precipice of a global food shortage, closely matching the great famine of 1877.

The forecasts for the coming el nino keep worsening by the day. We are looking at big heat spikes, dry monsoon and erratic weather. Crop failure will lead to shortages and higher prices.
