I work at a manufacturing company and we do visual on an assembly part. The parts are about 3” x .5” x .5”. The defects are burrs, dents, contamination, etc. I’ve tried taking pictures of it but I either can zoom in enough or the light reflects and the defect isn’t visible. We are supposed to see the defects under a scope at 10x magnification, and I can’t replicate it.

The company is cheap and is not letting me buy anything above $250 to get this done. Is there anything I can do to focus on the parts yet not have reflection? Could a macro lense help? Which kind do I get?

(Currently have an insta 360 go 3s, and a Samsung tablet)
